The Duke of Sussex, 41, was seen enjoying a snowy break in Aspen, Colorado, alongside close friend Nacho Figueras. The trip comes ahead of a polo tournament scheduled to take place over the weekend.

Harry Spotted Relaxing on the Slopes

According to insiders, Harry appeared relaxed and in high spirits as he made the most of the luxury ski resort, spending time on the slopes and enjoying the facilities.

Harry has long spoken about his love of skiing, which began during childhood trips to the Swiss Alps with his parents, King Charles and the late Princess Diana.

“Prince Harry was with Nacho for about four hours on the mountains. The pair spent the day skiing and enjoyed lunch together at one of the restaurants at the resort.

“Harry seemed happy and was also joined by a number of male friends on the slopes,” a source told HELLO!

Polo Tournament Plans Without Meghan and the Children

Harry and Nacho are set to compete against each other in the World Snow Polo Championships over the weekend. However, it is understood that Meghan, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet will not be attending the event.

Despite being apart during the Aspen trip, the Sussexes are expected to reunite for Christmas and celebrate the holiday together at their Montecito home.

Nacho Figueras has been one of Harry’s closest friends since they first met at a charity polo match in 2007. Over the years, the prince has competed against the Argentinian polo star numerous times, and Nacho has been a vocal supporter of Harry’s relationship with Meghan.

The father-of-four previously praised the couple, saying Harry “found an amazing teammate” in the former Suits actress and that his new life is “what he always wanted”.

“I know firsthand how much he wanted to have a family. He found an amazing teammate, or partner, in Meghan. They love each other very much; their children are lovely.

“Seeing them be a lovely family with their kids and their dogs, and that’s really what he always wanted, I’m very happy for them,” Nacho told Town & Country magazine in 2022.

A Quiet Christmas for the Sussexes

The trip comes as Harry and Meghan are expected to have another low-key Christmas this year, after reports suggested they were not invited to spend the festive season with the Royal Family at Sandringham.

Meghan will also not be visiting her estranged father, Thomas Markle, who recently underwent surgery to amputate his leg.

It was confirmed last week that Meghan reached out to Mr Markle, 81, sending a handwritten letter to the hospital where he is being treated in the Philippines.

Meghan has remained estranged from her father since her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
