Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared their Christmas message for 2025, continuing a tradition they have kept every year since their wedding in 2018. This time, however, they chose a slightly different format. Instead of a traditional printed card, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a short Christmas video that reflects moments from their year, blending family life with their ongoing charitable work.

As with previous releases, the couple kept their children’s privacy firmly in mind. Archie, now six, and four year old Lilibet appear only briefly and from angles that avoid showing their faces clearly. In one touching segment, the family is seen working together during a surprise visit to help prepare meals for the local community in California. The outing was organised through Archewell’s partnership with Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles, with the children helping where they could and pushing trolleys alongside their parents.

The video also includes clips of Harry and Meghan attending various humanitarian engagements over the past year, offering a snapshot of the causes they continue to support behind the scenes.

A quiet but meaningful name change

Alongside the Christmas release, the couple revealed a significant update to their charitable organisation. To mark its fifth anniversary, the Archewell Foundation has officially been renamed Archewell Philanthropies. The announcement was made shortly before the video was shared and was also reflected in the message signed at the end of the festive clip.

In a statement reported by People, the organisation explained that the change represents a new chapter. According to the message, the updated name allows Prince Harry and Meghan to expand their global philanthropic work as a family, while remaining rooted in the same values and partnerships that have guided their efforts since the foundation was first launched. The focus, they said, remains on showing up, doing good, and creating meaningful impact.

The Christmas greeting itself read: “On behalf of the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Archewell, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”

Royal Christmas cards across the family

The Sussexes were not the only royals to share festive wishes this season. Earlier in December, King Charles and Queen Camilla released their official Christmas card for 2025. The image chosen was a portrait taken in April during celebrations marking their twentieth wedding anniversary.

The photograph shows the King and Queen standing together in the gardens of Villa Wolkonsky, the British ambassador’s residence in Rome. Queen Camilla links her arm through the King’s, with the image framed by a deep red border. Inside the card, a matching message reads: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”

Together, the releases offered a glimpse into how different branches of the royal family continue to mark the festive season, each in their own distinctive way.
