The three children of the Prince and Princess of Wales made a special, deeply personal donation to The Baby Bank, a vital charity supporting families in extreme need — and the inspiration behind their generosity came straight from their mother, Princess Kate.
A CHRISTMAS GIFT WITH REAL MEANING
Rather than toys or festive treats, the young royals chose to donate “essential practical everyday items” — including nappies, children’s clothes and basic supplies — to help struggling families care for newborns and young children.

The items were personally selected by George, Charlotte and Louis themselves.
The Baby Bank provides critical support to families across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hillingdon, ensuring babies and children have the basics many take for granted. The siblings’ donation was quietly made on December 28, but the charity later shared the touching news on Instagram as part of celebrations marking its 10th anniversary.

In a heartfelt post, The Baby Bank reflected on a decade of service and the incredible support it has received from the community.
“2025 saw The Baby Bank turn 10 years old,” the caption read. “As we reflect on this, we are overwhelmed by the constant support of our community.”
The accompanying video showed images of donated items — nappies, clothes and toys — and gave a special mention to the “essential practical everyday items chosen by The Prince and Princess of Wales’ children.”
“These items helped us efficiently reach families far and wide and support thousands of children this year,” the charity added.
A CAUSE CLOSE TO PRINCESS KATE’S HEART
Just one day after her children’s donation, the Princess of Wales publicly acknowledged the charity’s milestone, writing on Instagram:
“Proud to have been a part of @the_baby_bank story as it marks 10 years of incredible work. The work baby banks do all year round is so important, but particularly at Christmas time.”
Kate has long championed early childhood development as a cornerstone of her royal work, regularly visiting baby banks and family support organisations across the UK.

In December 2023, Princess Kate brought George, Charlotte and Louis to The Baby Bank’s Maidenhead hub, near their Windsor home, to volunteer in person — giving them a firsthand look at how their help changes lives.
