A body language specialist has suggested that Prince Harry’s behaviour has undergone a significant transformation as the Invictus Games prepare to return to the United Kingdom. The international sporting event will take place in Birmingham next year, marking the first time the Games have been hosted on British soil since their debut in 2014. The occasion is expected to bring Harry back to the UK for an extended stay, putting fresh attention on how he presents himself in public.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton shared his observations about the Duke of Sussex and what his physical cues reveal. He described Harry as the most open member of the Royal Family, explaining that he expresses emotions clearly rather than concealing them. According to Stanton, when Harry feels uncomfortable, his face and neck tend to flush red, a natural physical reaction to emotional unease. He noted that during Harry’s earlier years as a working royal, he often appeared shy and reserved in public settings. Today, however, he is far more expressive and visibly at ease in showing how he feels. Stanton added that Harry wears his heart on his sleeve and no longer hides behind royal formality.
Confidence shaped by purpose
Stanton went on to say that it is now rare to see Harry appear nervous at official events. His appearances at the Invictus Games in recent years demonstrate a level of confidence that seems deeply rooted. The expert pointed to a dramatic growth in resilience and independence, suggesting that Harry thrives when engaging directly with people. He is described as an active listener who seeks meaningful connection, offering genuine smiles and open body language that indicate both emotional honesty and inner stability. In Stanton’s view, Harry appears to be in a strong place personally, comfortable in his role and sincere in his interactions.
A return to the UK without family reunions
While Harry is expected to return to Britain in 2027 for the Invictus Games, he is also due to visit the UK later this month for legal reasons. The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to give evidence in a privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail. The case involves several well known figures, including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, and the trial is provisionally set to begin on January 19. However, the final schedule has not yet been confirmed, which has reportedly delayed Harry’s ability to finalize travel arrangements.
According to The Telegraph, this uncertainty means Harry cannot commit to any personal engagements during his time in the UK. This reportedly includes meeting with King Charles. The King is expected to be in Scotland during Harry’s visit, following his usual post holiday retreat before returning to official royal duties. As a result, despite Harry’s upcoming presence in Britain, there are said to be no plans for a father and son reunion on this trip.
