In a rare public statement addressing the matter, the King also pledged cooperation with any ongoing police inquiries, with at least two investigations now under review.

“The king has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct,” a palace spokesperson said Monday.

“While the specific claims in question are for Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect.

“As was previously stated, their majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”

Police Assess New Complaints

Thames Valley Police, which oversees the area around Andrew’s former residence, Royal Lodge in Windsor, has confirmed it is reviewing at least two fresh complaints.

Last week, officers said they were examining allegations from a woman who claimed Epstein sent her to the UK to have sex with Andrew at Royal Lodge, when he was still known as Prince Andrew, Duke of York — titles he has since lost.

On Monday, the force confirmed it is also assessing a separate complaint alleging Andrew forwarded confidential trade documents to Epstein. The claim was reported by an anti-monarchy activist as suspected misconduct in public office and a potential breach of the Official Secrets Act.

US Lawmaker Warns of Wider Fallout

The growing controversy has drawn attention beyond the UK. US Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), who co-authored the Epstein Transparency Act, argued that the situation poses a serious threat to the monarchy’s standing.

“I think this is the most vulnerable the British monarchy has ever been,” Khanna told Sky News.

“They ought to ask the king and queen questions and maybe this will be the end of the monarchy.

“If they don’t have answers, if they’re implicated in the Epstein class, it’s not a good look for the British monarchy. The king has to answer what he knew, what he knew about Andrew, and just stripping Andrew of a title is not enough.”

Khanna rejected the idea that the King or Queen should be shielded from scrutiny, adding, “They need to answer.”

Andrew, who was formally stripped of his royal titles last year, has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. He has not publicly responded to the latest allegations.

As investigations continue and political pressure mounts, the scandal remains a significant challenge for the royal family and its public image.
