I glanced at Cherry, who was alone in the living room tending to her wounds and said calmly, "There's one last day. You'll know everything then."

On the morning of the third day, Cherry, as usual, came to my room as soon as she got up.

"Mom, how are you feeling today? Is your appetite better?" She asked softly, expertly examining me.

I didn't answer, merely glancing at her bandaged hand. Blood was still seeping from it. Seeing I remained silent, Cherry massaged my limbs as usual, moving my joints and preventing muscle atrophy.

Her movements were gentle, as if she were caring for her treasure. "Mom, look, what a beautiful day today."

"After dinner, I'll take you out for a walk. The doctor says more outdoor activity is good for you,” she looked out the window, trying to find a conversation starter.

But I remained indifferent, "I don't want to."

She paused for a moment, then said nothing.

After the massage, she fetched some warm water and carefully wiped my face and hands before making me dinner.

The comments in the livestream continued to roll.

"The old lady still looks so gloomy today. It makes me angry just looking at her."

"That's right, her daughter's hand is so badly injured and she still has to take care of her and she doesn't even say a word of concern?"

"It's really disgusting. Some people just don't deserve kindness."

That day, Cherry didn't go to work. She said she wanted to spend time with me.

After finishing house chores, she pushed me out to the balcony to bask in the sun. She combed my hair, trimmed my nails and cleaned my ears. She kept me clean from head to toe. And then she moved a small stool and sat next to me.

She held my withered hand and began to speak softly, "Mom, do you remember? When we were little, you often took me to the balcony to bask in the sun. You loved braiding my hair and telling me stories here. You also said that your greatest wish was to see me happy."

As she spoke, her eyes welled up slightly. Just then, her phone rang. But she didn't answer. Instead, she gave me a deep look and hung up.

Then she looked at me, smiled and said, "Mom, it's almost time."

I smiled faintly. This moment had finally arrived. With that, Cherry stood up and gave me a secretive look. Then she did something that everyone watching the livestream couldn't have imagined...
