But she forced a smile and said, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you."
I gave her a cold look, "I don't want to eat anything you cook."
With that, I steered my wheelchair to the balcony for some fresh air. As I left the room, I ran into Shane, who was playing games on his phone.
I knocked his phone to the ground and he flew into a rage, "Damn it! We're in a crucial team fight! You knocked me over like that and I'm dead! It's the promotion match!"
He picked up his phone and kicked my wheelchair hard. The wheelchair struggled hard and stumbled over.
"Mom!" Cherry screamed, rushing over, quickly shielding me and the wheelchair with her body.
The wheelchair had scraped her hand, leaving a deep gash so deep that the bone was visible and blood was flowing. But she ignored the pain.
After quickly steadying me, she angrily yelled at Shane, still dazed and shaken, "Shane, you almost hurt mom!"
Shane glared at me, "She’s paralyzed and can't feel pain, so why are you so nervous?"
"I'm so annoyed! We lost the qualifying round again!" Shane cursed as he walked into the room and continued playing games.
Cherry, still terrified, checked me over and over to make sure I was alright. Only then, despite the bruises on her hands, did she begin to inspect the wheelchair that had been kicked. Noticing a loose buckle, she immediately pulled out her toolbox and worked on tightening it bit by bit until late at night. The livestream's comments were boiling with comments,
"I'm so sad. Where can you find such a good daughter? Her hand was badly injured, yet she's completely worried about her mother."
"Why is such a good daughter so unlucky, having such a blind, biased mother?"
"That's right, is this mother's heart made of stone? Her daughter has done so much for her, so why is she so cold to her own daughter?"
"No wonder they say there's always something hateful about those who are pitiful. This mother is so hopelessly biased, she deserves to be paralyzed."
"It's so suffocating."
"Daughter, run away! A mother and brother like this aren't worth it."
The livestream was abuzz with insults and even reporters called me.
"Is this the three-day secret livestream you wanted? Do you know what you've been getting yelled at these past two days? Your daughter has done so much for you, aren't you just asking for trouble?"
