Jack’s expression stiffened for a moment.Then he said softly,“Wen,I love you so much.How could I ever push you to death?Since you’re begging anyway,why beg outsiders instead of begging me?”
Wendy couldn’t say a word.His love was too heavy.It crushed her until she couldn’t breathe.
She couldn’t bear it anymore.“I’m begging you.Can you show me mercy?”she looked up at him in despair.
For the first time,the proud Wendy lowered her head to Jack.Everything was going exactly as he wanted,yet seeing Wendy give in still made Jack uneasy.
He lowered his eyes and pulled her up.“Come home with me first.I’ll take care of your brother’s case.”
Wendy accepted her fate.As long as her brother could be cleared of his charges.
Her lips parted slightly.“Jack, if you break your word again, our story will only end when one of us is in a grave!”
But Jack didn’t hear her.
All of the sudden,Tiara suddenly fainted for no clear reason.All of his attention went to her.He picked Tiara up and rushed out of the cabin.
Watching how carefully he held Tiara,Wendy laughed softly.
She didn’t understand.If he loved Tiara so much,why wouldn’t he let Wendy go?

That evening,Jack didn’t come to pick her up for the auction.He told her to go first.
Before Tiara returned,Jack never let Wendy be alone.Right after Tiara came back,everything changed.
As soon as Wendy entered the venue,she saw Tiara holding Jack’s arm as they walked in together.
So it wasn’t that he had no time.He just had no time for her.
The host flattered Jack eagerly.“This must be Ms.Tiara Lunalight.Seeing you in person is even better than rumors.You’re beautiful and capable."
"Everyone says that if you hadn’t broken up with Mr.Russel back then,the position of Mrs.Russel would surely have been yours.”
“No wonder Mr.Russel takes such good care of you.You two look perfect together.”
Tiara smiled proudly.“You flatter me,Mr.Mortis.I owe everything to Jay for giving me a chance.If not,how could a divorced woman like me stand here today?”
The crowd stepped on Wendy to praise Tiara.Jack didn’t say a single word to defend Wendy.
In their first year of marriage,someone once spoke badly about Wendy.Jack broke that person’s nose on the spot.Now,these people mocked her word by word in front of him,
and Jack showed no reaction at all.
So this was the difference between love and no love.
