I observed the guilty looks on Charles and Sarah's faces, and the woman exchanging flirtatious glances with Charles. The two of them don't look like they have nothing to do with each other.
The show was about to begin.

The police arrived and began questioning.
I learned that the woman's name was Emily Sue, a name that oozed charm.
She angrily described how I had supposedly hit her while driving drunk, detailing the incident vividly.
Charles and Sarah sobbed as they listened.
When she finished, Charles solemnly swore, "Honey, go with the police. I'll take care of everything at home and wait for you. We should sign the divorce agreement before you go. You know how important Sarah's future is. She can't be linked to a criminal."
Sarah was crying too hard to speak clearly, "Mom...When you are released..."
As the police prepared to take me away, I stopped them. "Wait!"
Sarah thought I couldn't bear to part with her and reached to hug me. I pushed her away. "It wasn't me driving drunk last night. It was her."
Sarah jumped in shock, her voice shrill. "Mom, are you crazy? Why are you blaming me for what you did?"
Charles, ignoring the police, slapped me hard. "You stupid woman! what nonsense are you talking about? Shut up!"
Emily also chimed in, "Sir, I saw her clearly last night. She's lying to avoid being imprisoned, willing to frame her own daughter. Such a person deserves severe punishment!"
The commotion attracted other patients and their families, who crowded the doorway, eager to see the so-called heartless mother.
Ignoring their judgmental stares, I pulled out my phone and played the recording from the previous night at their house.
