Hello to Anticipation in Love’s RenewalChapter 1
On the eve of my marriage with Matthew Moss, Emery Bradford, his first love, who had abandoned him, came back. She begged him to get back together with her.
Everyone mocked her for overestimating herself.
Only I could tell that Matthew, who seemed to hate her on the surface, missed her so much.
But was Emery of Matthew's having her on his mind for so many years?
At night, I sat on the sofa and flipped through the wedding dress booklet sent by the wedding planning team. Matthew was taking a shower in the bathroom.
Matthew's cell phone rang. I glanced at it and stopped what I was doing.
There was a string of numbers with no remarks, but I knew that it was from Emery, Matthew's first love of five years.
Taking a deep breath, I was in a bad mood.
"Matthew, your call."
The sound of running water in the bathroom stopped, and his voice came out. "Whose call is it?"
"From Emery."
He was silent for two seconds before saying, "Rosalia, hang up."
I moved my fingertips. Before I could hang up the phone, it stopped ringing, but I knew that it would ring again soon.
As Matthew's first love who abandoned him in his most difficult time, Emery was despised by everyone. Now she even wanted to get back together with him on the premise that Matthew had me as his fiancee. How shameless she was.
Since she returned from abroad, she had called Matthew every day. If Matthew didn't answer the phone, she would continue to call. Even though she was blacklisted, she would call him using other numbers. If Matthew answered her calls impatiently, she would cry without saying anything.
She cried so hard that I was no longer in the mood to get married.
When I finished flipping through the album, Matthew came out of the bathroom. He was covered with a bath towel. His strong chest was dripping with water, which rolled down from his waist to the mermaid line.
I had to admit that there was a reason why Emery couldn't let go of Matthew.
Matthew said as he wiped his hair with one hand, "She didn't call again, did she?"
"No."
"That's good. She's crazy." Matthew showed a look of disgust.
He sat next to me, took me in his arms, and sprayed warm breath on my neck. "Have you decided on the wedding dress?"
"No, I can't see anything just by looking at the pictures."
