Jeremy didn’t deserve to live happily with his mistress just like that. In fact, he wasn’t even worthy of being called a father, much less of a husband. He was truly a monster. My desire to see him suffer in agony became stronger even more every minute. Even though severing a mate bond was known to be extremely painful, I wouldn’t mind going through it.
There was no love left for Jeremy. It was nothing but revenge. The Alpha and his mistress brought me to an endless misery. From then on, my time for revenge started.
“Just wait for your death, Jeremy, Olivia!” I muttered to the black sky.
It had been three days since my daughter’s death. The maids looked very worried. They commented on how much weight I had lost and asked me to eat even a spoonful of porridge.
When I asked the servants where Jeremy was, they all went quiet. I didn’t have to ask them to talk because I already knew the answer. Not that I cared about it, but I was really angered about how indifferent he was to his daughter’s death. Did he even know his daughter died?
“If the Alpha comes back from his mistress, tell that man I’m staying at my place,” I instructed the servants who quickly nodded.
I decided to go to my cottage. Not only I was trying to calm myself down, I planned to bury my daughter here. Every time I felt that it was too hard for me, I would bring Marianne to go there. She really loved this cottage. This place brought us peace.
I brought my daughter’s ashes in a pink-colored urn. That little girl loved pink and marigold flowers so much. She actually reminded me of myself. Again, tears fell on my cheeks.
'I will really miss you, Marianne,' I thought to myself.
Luckily, we had a little marigold garden in the place. I thought of picking the marigolds and spreading the ashes in the marigold garden. It would be a very good final resting place for Marianne.
Everything looked so perfect until I smelled someone who wasn’t supposed to be there. In fact, two people. Without me realizing it, I was growling angrily like a mad woman. Clearly, Lucia really wanted me to shift into my wolf form. But I managed to hold her as I looked at the intruders who dared to disturb my peace.
It was Jeremy and Olivia. People who murdered my daughter. How could they dare to enter what was supposed to be Marianne’s resting place? This was unforgivable!
