Her body slid down a little, and Patrick immediately stopped in the water.

I said in a pleading voice, "Ms. Parker, Harry is afraid of water. Could you please come back to the shore now?"

She ignored me and stared at the tide in a daze.

Patrick reached out his hand. "Rachel, be obedient and come over. The tide is rising, and it's dangerous."

Rachel then turned around and smiled palely, "Patrick, do you remember this place? This is where you proposed to me."

Patrick glanced back at me and then looked away.

"Rachel, it's all in the past. What's the point of talking about it now?"

Rachel suddenly glared at me with grievance and unwillingness.

"Ms. Murphy, I said I still love Patrick, and it's all true. Can you return them to me?"

With a dark face, Patrick urged gently, "Rachel, don't talk nonsense. Come on, give me your hand."

As he grabbed Rachel's arm with one hand, there was no need for me to compromise anymore.

"Them? Return them to you? Ms. Parker, apart from abandoning your ex-boyfriend and reconciling with him, do you still enjoy being someone's stepmother?"

She explained with a weak grin, "I understand my request is unreasonable, but Ms. Murphy, you may not be aware that I am Harry's biological mother and that his biological father is..."

I held my breath, petrified on the spot.

Patrick's eyes abruptly widened, and he rushed forward to clutch Harry.

"Enough, Rachel. Harry's mother will always be Aurora!"

Rachel exploded in anger, shoving Patrick into the water and shouting hysterically, "I gave birth to Harry. I am his mother, and I always will be. This is a fact that no one can change."

She gradually went crazy and burst into laughter while staring at me.

"You silly woman, are you surprised? There are even more surprises. Would you like to hear them?"
