"Oh, look at her big butt. Looks like she can give birth to a big fat boy for our Wilde family," Amy's parents chuckled in delight when they saw me.

I tugged at Will's sleeve with a frown and questioned, "Is this how you apologize to me?"

Will said with a grin, "Sandra, no one is willing to destroy a godsent marriage. What's more, they are offering our family an engagement gift of 100,000 dollars. Now I'm having a baby, so I need more money."

"So, you just let me marry a fool."

"Who are you calling a fool?" Amy snapped as she rested her hands on her big belly, frowning.

"You should be thankful that you're blessed with my brother's affection for you!"

Hearing this, I pushed Dan, who was playing with his toes, in front of her and asked, "Then do you want such a blessing if I give it to you?"

My mother growled coldly, "How can you talk to Amy like this? She is pregnant with our Charter family's grandson. Be polite to her."

"What? Is it that our family has a throne to pass down?" I snapped with sarcasm, staring at my mother defiantly.

"Enough!" Will chimed in to smooth things over. "It's also our fault that we didn't discuss it with Sandra before. It's understandable that she can't accept it for the time being. Let's eat first. We can talk about it after dinner."

At the dinner table, my parents kept putting food into Will and Amy's plates.

I watched as the four of them chatted happily with each other.

They seemed more like a family than my parents and me!

My parents had been like this since I was a child. They were always worried that Will couldn't have enough food, so they would always give him half of my portion.

Whenever there was something delicious, they would always give it to Will.

By contrast, I didn't even have the right to share it with him.

They never cared at all whether I could eat enough.

Therefore, I was often hungry when I was in elementary and junior high school, so much so that I had serious stomach problems.

It wasn't until my grandmother showed up that I realized I could be full after eating only one bowl of food.

I was a normal person, not a monster who was always hungry in my parents' eyes.

Lost in the thought of the past, I felt so depressed that I accidentally dropped the plate in front of me to the ground.

The porcelain plate instantly shattered into pieces with a loud clatter.

I curled up and kept shivering by reflex.
