"A stranger? You've known Viviene for four years, Luna. And she had been my secretary for years, and she's a childhood friend of mine. Why can't you be a little considerate?"
I scoffed, "When will you be considerate of what I feel, Blake? This is our home, our manor! Yet you let a stranger sleep here." I paused when I felt a searing pain in my stomach again. "Get that damn woman out of our home, Blake!"
"Luna!"
I don't want him to see me weak. I don't want Viviene to win this time.
"Leave, Blake. Leave. If you don't let that woman leave our manor, I will be the one to leave!" I spat angrily, trying to hide the pain.
Alpha didn't answer, but he just walked away. And because of that, I know he will choose her again this time. That day, I didn't go to work nor went to the healer's office. I just slept all day due to the medicines that I had been taking. And I feel blue; I don't know what to do with my life anymore. I only have a month to live, but my mate is busy being an Alpha. I don't want to die. I am scared of dying.
The next morning I woke up even more tired. But instead of doing nothing today, I decided to go to Sebastian. I know that he said that there's no cure, but I don't want to give up. I need to fight, not just for myself but for someone else.
I headed to the kitchen after doing my morning routine. I must consume food, as I neglected to consume any sustenance last night, which is detrimental to my health. But my brows furrowed when I saw Viviene in the kitchen, sitting comfortably while drinking a glass of milk.
"Good morning," she said with a smile.
Just as expected, Alpha entered the room carrying a bundle of fresh fruits.
"Why is she still here?" I asked, and I didn't hide the hostility in my voice.
"Luna!"
"I am sorry, Luna. I know you don't want me here. But I didn't have a choice last night. My stomach hurt, and I was afraid that something would happen to my baby."
I couldn't breathe after hearing those words. Alpha hurriedly went to Viviene to comfort her. He gently wiped her tears.
"Calm down, Viviene. Crying isn't good for your health or the baby. We don't want that to happen," Alpha muttered softly to his Omega secretary. Blake snapped his head in my direction. "Couldn't you be a little considerate, Luna? Viviene has no one to rely on. She only had us."
