Blake's expression changed. He looked at me worriedly, "What happened? Are you hurt?"

This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with him. He is kind... to everyone, including me. But I was never his priority. I cleared my throat and didn't want to cry in front of him.

But before I could even answer him, the door swung open.

"Sir?"

I smiled bitterly; Viviene entered our manor. I looked at Blake, and he hurriedly went to Viviene. And again, I was left alone. I no longer want to witness how my husband treats his secretary like she is his wife.

I groaned when I felt a searing pain in my stomach. I clutched my stomach as the pain increased. I felt nauseous; I hurriedly stood up, went to the bathroom, and vomited. My illness is getting worse day by day. I thought Sebastian could help me, but unfortunately, I acquired an incurable disease.

My knees wobbled as I stood up away from the toilet. Before leaving, I had to make sure to flush the toilet. When I left the bathroom, I saw my mate enter our room.

"What happened?" Blake hurriedly went to me.

"Just an upset stomach," I lied.

"You sure? I don't want to leave you knowing that you're sick."

"I am fine," I cut him off.

I don't want to hear any nonsense from my Alpha. Contrary to what he said, he always leaves for work or because of Viviene whenever I am sick. Viviene often gets sick, and since she is an orphan and has no one else to rely on, I always believed what he said because he is Alpha, and he needed to take care of everyone in the pack. But I also have no one to rely on because, for my mate, I can do everything alone.

Blake helped me go back to bed.

"Sir?"

My eyes widened when I heard that familiar voice. Then a knock came after that. I looked at my mate, asking for an explanation.

The alpha sighed, "She slept here last night. After you go to bed, something happens in Viviene's apartment. There was a fire, and instead of going to a hotel or something, I told her to stay here for a while until she finds a new flat."

"This. Is. Our. Manor!" I angrily said, emphasizing each word.

That alpha caressed my face. "I know, Baby. But Viviene needs help. That's why I let her stay here last night. She will stay here for a week, just a week. I promise."

I shook my head and angrily stared at him, "This is our home. Our manor was given to us by the elders of our pack. Why would you let a stranger in?"
