"When Leila tied me up out of jealousy, did she ever imagine she'd die for it?"
She smirked. "Face it, Vienna. Your sister wasn't my match, and neither are you. I've never killed anyone. That's why Hendrix loves me—because I'm clean."
"Be a good dog and stay at my side, and maybe I'll let you live."
I swept my gaze behind her—and didn't see any bodyguards or henchmen. She dared to speak like that alone. She was courting death.
My subordinate frowned, silently asking if he should strike.
I waved him off.
"Some things," I said, "I prefer to do it myself."
Cassidy thought my silence meant surrender. Her smile widened. "That's better. You're learning."
Before the words left her lips, I lunged—fisting her long hair and slamming her to her knees.
"You're insane! If you touch me, Hendrix will kill you!"
"I'm his fiancée—and I'm pregnant!" she cried anxiously.
My eyes flicked to her stomach, and a cold smile curved my lips. "Pregnant? Even better."
I opened the bottle of sulfuric acid my men had brought. The liquid hissed as it met her hair, her screams cutting through the quiet graveyard.
White smoke curled upward. Birds scattered into the sky. Amused, I watched as her beauty melted away.
I had promised my sister that I'd make them all pay.
Tonight was only the beginning.
I even called Hendrix on video again, training the camera on Cassidy's twisted, terrified face.
"Your dog has been biting people outside," I intoned coldly. "If you won't control her, I'll do it for you."
Ten minutes later, Hendrix arrived with fifty men and encircled me. He stepped forward, drew a pistol from his waist, leveled it at my forehead and squeezed the trigger as if testing whether I would flinch. His voice was a cold blade.
"Vienna, you've gone too far."
"Who let you touch Cassidy? You want to die?" he snarled.
On the ground, Cassidy writhed in agony and screamed, "Hendrix, kill this madwoman! Avenge me!"
By the time her cry finished, the tip of my blade was already pressed to her belly.
"Long time no see, Hendrix." I smirked. "If you want revenge, come and take it. But you know what I'll do. If you fire that gun, I promise this bitch will die faster than I will."
I pressed harder with the blade, cutting Cassidy's skin. Blood stained her white dress. Her scream split the air.
"You deserve to die, Vienna! There's not one decent thing left in the Wilson family—your sister dying is what you deserve!"
