Anger burned within me and I raised my hand and slapped him. I exclaimed, "Ludwig, you know how important this jade pendant is to me. I wouldn't even wear it myself. Why are you giving it to Whitney?"
Ludwig's face darkened, "It's just a jade pendant. Do you have to be so stingy? It's not like I won't return it back to you."
Before I could reply, Whitney choked out, "Suzy, don't be angry. Since you don't want to give it to me, then I won't take it. I'll give it back to you."
Having said that, she took off the jade pendant and handed it to me. But as I reached out to take it, she let go too early, causing the pendant to crash heavily to the ground. The pendant shattered instantly.
Whitney feigned concern, covering her mouth, "Oh dear, Suzy, why didn't you catch it? The pendant is broken, you can't blame me for that."
Her smug expression disgusted me and I slapped her across the face.
Ludwig immediately stepped in front of her, "Suzy, that's enough! It was clearly you who refused to take the pendant, causing it to break. What does it have to do with Whitney? Apologize to her right now."
I sneered, speaking in a sinister tone, "Apologize? Fine, I'll apologize to her."
With that, I grabbed the vase from the table and smashed it hard on Whitney's head. Whitney screamed, her head instantly stained red with blood. Ludwig panicked and quickly took out a bandage to stop the bleeding.
I didn't even glance at them, picked up the jade pendant fragments and went upstairs to get my luggage.
Ludwig stopped me when he saw this, "Suzy, where are you going?"
I looked at him expressionlessly and threw the divorce agreement in his face, "To a place where I don’t have to be with you, of course."
I inhaled before saying, "Ludwig, let's get a divorce. I don't want you anymore."
