The Sussexes were spotted volunteering together at a food shelter on Wednesday, joining the team at Our Big Kitchen in baking cookies, prepping vegetables, and packing meals ahead of Thanksgiving.
Meghan, 44, shared moments from the unannounced family outing on her Instagram Story, featuring the Archewell Foundation motto, “Show up, do good,” and the caption: “Show up, do good.”
Among the photos, fans caught one of their very few glimpses of Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, helping shape Thanksgiving cookies for baking.
Although their faces weren’t shown, eagle-eyed supporters noticed Lilibet’s long red hair styled into a braid, falling down her back. The little princess looked charming in a red tartan dress with frilled sleeves, while Archie wore an apron over his yellow long-sleeved shirt as he embraced the volunteer work with enthusiasm.
In one image, Meghan beamed as she and Lilibet stood beside Harry, who was plating a meal of rice, mince, and vegetables, preparing it for delivery to those in need.

Archewell’s Thanksgiving Message
The holiday volunteer outing also coincided with a statement from the Archewell Foundation, reaffirming its mission of service:
“As the season of giving begins, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, alongside the Archewell team, joined Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA) to prepare and package meals for community members experiencing food insecurity…
“The Archewell Foundation remains committed to putting compassion into action—serving and uplifting communities locally and globally.
“As we head into the holiday season, we celebrate those working every day to ensure that no one is left behind and where the needs of our neighbors are met.”
Fans Applaud the Family’s Values
Royal supporters quickly took to social media to praise Meghan and Harry for involving their children in giving back.
“Love seeing [Meghan and Harry] teach the young prince & princess the true value of service and giving back. #HappyThanksgiving,” one fan wrote on X.
Another commented: “Daddy and Mummy – Prince Harry, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, take Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana out volunteering as a family and just doing what they do to put some good out in the world. This is so cute and positive.”
A third echoed the sentiment: “Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are raised so well by their amazing parents. The whole Sussex Royal Family volunteering for Thanksgiving.”

Others highlighted the deeper message behind the photos.
“This right here shows that Harry & Meghan are teaching Archie & Lili about the less fortunate, by engaging them in a hands-on experience of serving others,” one user said. “They’re raising 2 kids that will NOT TAKE FROM, but will GIVE BACK, as they get older.”

A Quiet Tradition of Compassion
The outing may have been rare, but for many fans, it felt in-line with who the Sussexes have always tried to be—parents committed to raising children who understand responsibility, service, and compassion beyond privilege.
As one supporter put it simply, it was about more than cookies and packed meals—it was about planting the earliest seeds of empathy in two very young hearts.
