Mayonnaise is a staple sauce in cooking. It is very versatile, and is essential in many recipes. In this article we explain how to prepare a tasty avocado mayonnaise, perfect to replace the classic one as it is much healthier and, in our opinion, also better.
By using avocado we can significantly reduce calories. Although this fruit is fatty, it is rich in healthy fats and if eaten in the right measure it is also good for you. It also helps us feel fuller and eat less. Avocado is rich in fiber, omega 3 and vitamin E.
Ingredients: half an avocado at room temperature, an egg, 2 fingers of sunflower oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, black pepper, 2 sprigs of fresh coriander, a pinch of salt.
Put the egg at room temperature, oil and salt in the blender at maximum power. The result will have a very thick, almost frothy consistency, very similar to classic mayonnaise.
Add the lemon juice, half an avocado cut into pieces, the coriander leaves and a pinch of black pepper, and continue to blend for a few seconds. It is very important to store avocado mayonnaise in an airtight jar. Store in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
