“Sometimes God doesn’t send doctors.”
He looked at Lily standing beside her father.
“Sometimes He sends people to remind us that hope still exists.”
Then he started walking away through the park.
Daniel tried calling after him, asking where he lived, how he could find him again.
But Tommy only waved.
Lily, still holding her father’s hand, shouted,
“Thank you, Tommy!”
The boy turned around and called back from a distance,
“Keep walking! Or your feet might forget again!”
Father and daughter laughed together—
a sound Daniel hadn’t heard in a very long time.
That day, Daniel understood something no medical report had ever explained.
Sometimes healing begins when someone appears…
not with answers,
but with patience, kindness, and enough faith to believe for us when we no longer can.
And in a quiet corner of Riverside Park, among tall trees and dusty paths, a little girl walked again—
while another boy disappeared down the trail, carrying nothing but a dented bowl and the lesson his grandmother left him:
Hope enters through the feet of those brave enough to take the first step. 🌿
