“This is the official confirmation from the bank that the loan was fully repaid this morning using my funds,” I said while pointing at the details.
Vanessa’s confident expression slowly disappeared as reality began to set in. Jonathan looked like he had been struck by something he could not recover from.
“You are lying,” he said, though his voice lacked any confidence.
I shook my head slowly and met his eyes. “As of 9:42 this morning, I became the majority owner of Brooks Logistics,” I said clearly.
William slammed his hand on the table and insisted that it was Jonathan’s company. I tilted my head and corrected him calmly.
“Not anymore,” I said.
Jonathan rushed toward me and accused me of tricking him. I raised an eyebrow and asked if I had tricked him or if he simply never read what he signed.
Vanessa looked at him with growing confusion and asked why he told her he owned everything. Jonathan could not respond because he had no answer.
I leaned slightly closer and reminded him of what he said earlier about this being my last day in the house. He swallowed and confirmed it quietly.
“Well, there is another thing you forgot,” I said while glancing around the room.
His voice barely came out when he asked what I meant. I smiled and gave him the final piece of truth.
“This house was purchased using company funds,” I said calmly.
Patricia gasped loudly while Jonathan’s eyes widened in horror. For the first time since I walked in, they all understood who actually held the power.
The silence became overwhelming as Jonathan stared at me like everything in his life was falling apart. He insisted it was impossible, but I calmly took a seat across from him.
“It is very possible,” I said while maintaining eye contact.
Vanessa stood up nervously and demanded that Jonathan explain the situation to her. He ignored her completely and kept flipping through the documents as if hoping they would change.
William finally asked what I intended to do next. I looked at him and answered without hesitation.
“As the majority owner of Brooks Logistics, I legally control all company assets,” I explained.
Then I gestured around the house slowly so they could understand the full impact. “That includes this property,” I added.
Patricia’s voice trembled as she asked if that meant what she thought it meant. I nodded calmly and confirmed that the house belonged to the company.
