Sometimes danger doesn’t break in with noise.
It doesn’t shatter windows or leave doors open.
Sometimes it installs itself quietly…
Listens.
Waits.
Adjusts.
And if a child hadn’t found the simplest way to describe the impossible—
“It feels too tight”—
we might have never known someone was already inside our lives.
So now, I listen more carefully.
Not just to words.
But to what children feel when they don’t yet have the language to explain it.
Because sometimes…
the smallest sentence can be the only warning you’ll ever get.
