Just as he was about to say something, Sherry hurried over. She took his hand and gently patted the back of it.

"Don't be angry. A wedding is no small matter. You've already agreed to it. If it weren't for Alice lying about the surgery time for Tiffany, the wedding wouldn't have been so rushed. We'll make it up next time..."

Before she could finish, I rushed forward in anger and slapped her across the face.

"Sherry, I warn you not to use my daughter as an act. I'm not Jay!"

As soon as I spoke, he pushed me onto the couch.

The sudden loss of balance made my head spin and I felt nauseous.

I couldn't help but lean over the couch and dry heave.

Jay forcefully held Sherry in his arms. His gaze towards me was harsh.

"Alice, stop acting in front of me. You make me sick.

"Apologize to Sherry right now, or forget about your wedding!"

It took me a while to recover, my eyes bloodshot from looking down for too long.

Hearing this, I suddenly laughed.

"Apologize? Jay, are you crazy? I'm not like her, a worthless woman who relies on men. Who do you think you are? If you mention Tiffany again, I'll slap you, too!"

He laughed coldly.

"Sherry was right. It's not Tiffany who wants to see the wedding. You're using her illness to threaten me!

"What? You can't hold back now? Tiffany's last wish isn't important anymore?"

I stared at him, hoping to see a hint of pretense.

But there was none.

He truly believed Sherry's lies.

Seeing my cold expression, he defended Sherry in a harsh tone.

"Do you know how long Sherry ran around the island for our wedding? Her feet were blistered, she searched everywhere for medical experts for me. How dare you hit her? All you do is stay in the hospital taking care of her, enjoying yourself."

A mocking smile tugged at the corners of my lips.

"Really? She found experts on the sunrise beach? Do experts like swimming in the sea?"

Jay couldn't help but rush over, but Sherry weakly held his arm.

He could only roar at me angrily.

"Alice, you are the last person qualified to criticize Sherry!

"Apologize to her right now!

"Or I'll cancel Tiffany's consultation and the wedding right away!

"With a sarcastic mother like you, she'd be better off dead!"

As soon as he finished speaking, my pent-up anger exploded. I quickly grabbed the glass ashtray from the table and smashed it on his head.

"Jay, don't you dare mention Tiffany to me! You don't deserve to! She doesn't deserve to either!"
