I looked at him and explained, "I got on the wrong wedding car. Call Sasha and ask them to switch us back."

Sam replied, “There's no mistake.”

I was shocked. "What did you say?"

Sam raised his hand and pointed at the names on the welcome sign. "We're the bride and groom."

I glanced at the groom's name, Sam Cody, and the bride's name, Sierra Garret, on the hotel's welcome board. My pupils shrank, and a feeling of humiliation and deception spread from my bones to my limbs.

I was deceived!

Ignoring the presence of everyone, I slapped Sam in anger. "You did this?"

Several of Sam's friends came over but were also driven away by Sam.

He looked at me and nodded. "Yes. Your parents know about it, too."

"No... Impossible..." I shook my head in disbelief. "Why would my parents let me marry you?"

I stared at Sam angrily and mocked him, blaming him for everything, "I strongly opposed my sister in marrying you. How could I marry you myself? Who the hell do you think you are?"

I was about to leave when Sam grabbed my wrist and said to me seriously, "We must go through the wedding ceremony. Otherwise, your sister can't get married, either."

I felt as if I was hearing a huge joke. "Why would I care whether my sister can get married or not? She wasn't supposed to marry Pedro Hudson."

I shook off Sam's hand and was ready to leave when my cell phone rang. Upon reading the message, I was so angry that I felt like I was being bitten by thousands of poisonous insects.

Sam said, "Sierra, maybe Sasha's wedding ceremony has already started. It's too late to change the brides now."

"You can't expect me to be with you forever."

I glared at him and walked into the hotel with a gloomy face.

After the wedding ceremony, I slept overnight in the hotel's temporary wedding room.

Sam slept on the sofa outside.

The following day, Sam took me to his house. I looked at his place with contempt and laughed mercilessly. "Well, you want me to live in a 130-square-yard apartment?"

Facing my malicious insult, Sam wasn't mad. He just smiled and said to me, "I will try my best to buy a bigger one."

I froze for a moment.

I thought that he wouldn't be able to greet my malicious insult with a smile, even if he didn't turn mad.

However, not only did he smile at me warmly, but also he seemed to have made me a promise.

But why did he promise me that?

I wouldn't spend my whole life with him.
