The life-saving medicine!
Joseph saw through my intention and stepped on the medicine with one foot. With a dull sound, the small glass bottle shattered into pieces, and the medicine spilled all over the floor.
"No!"
I begged desperately without self-esteem.
"I was wrong, Joseph. Can you let me send the medicine to my parents first? I will cooperate with the inspection, or you can ask the bodyguard to take the medicine there. Please..."
The needle was pushed into my vein, and the sedative quickly took effect. I reached out and grabbed the people in front of me, begging desperately.
"Medicine, please take the medicine..."
Everything went dark before my eyes, and my heartbeat stopped.
When I opened my eyes again, I saw an empty room.
I was unconscious for three hours.
The restraints on my hands had been untied, but the slightest movement caused a sharp pain in my stomach.
They did an amniocentesis on me...
But I didn't care about all that. I picked up the special medicine on the ground and ran to the hospital.
When I arrived at the hospital with bruises all over my body, I handed the medicine to the doctor.
The doctor just said angrily to me, "What's the point of sending it now? It's too late! You should be here an hour earlier."
I sat down on the ground dejectedly, crying my heart out.
Sixteen more cold corpses appeared in the cold morgue.
Suddenly, I felt a pain in my abdomen, and bright red blood flowed between my legs.
My child.
Did that mean I was also going to lose my child?
I struggled hard, but to no avail.
I couldn't see anything.
I vomited blood all over the floor in the morgue, and the doctor said that my health was poor and I needed to be hospitalized.
I refused and started to deal with the funeral affairs of the entire village.
I carried the seventy-two bodies back to the village where almost no one survived.
This place used to be quiet and peaceful, but overnight it turned into a living hell.
I stayed quietly at the entrance of the village for a long time. When I was about to go back to the cemetery, I suddenly saw Joseph and Norah.
"Joseph, I have been wanting this piece of land for a long time. I didn't expect you to give it to me."
Norah was holding an urn in her arms and sounded excited.
I wanted to go around them, but Joseph had already seen me.
He paused slightly and unconsciously frowned as if I was committing some terrible crime to appear here.
"Why are you here?"
