After Being Retaliated by A Relative's HusbandChapter 1

My sister-in-law, Naomi Sanders, was pregnant with her second child, and my mother-in-law, Madeline Adams, made me fully responsible for her autistic grandson, Bennett Nelson.

I took care of him day and night for half a year until I became pregnant as well.

I was bedridden to protect my pregnancy, but Madeline secretly left Bennett at my door.

The child, not knowing any better, climbed up the window and fell from the twenty-fourth floor.

By the time I arrived, unaware, he was already in pieces.

Exhausted, I handled the funeral arrangements, but the irate Naomi's husband, Wyatt Nelson, blamed me for not watching the child and kicked me in the abdomen, causing me to black out.

When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back at the time when Naomi just got pregnant with her second child.

"Naomi is pregnant with her second child. This is our top priority. I unplugged the internet at home; we can't let the radiation harm my daughter!"

Madeline held the internet cable, glaring exaggeratedly.

The familiar scene left me momentarily bewildered.

I looked up to see Bennett, who had just been buried, now standing alive behind Madeline.

I glanced at my phone. August 23, 2023.

I had been reborn! Reborn at the time when Naomi just became pregnant with her second child.

Madeline didn't notice my strangeness and pointed at a pile of figures, saying to my husband, Johnson Sanders, "And you, clean up all this junk. It looks terrifying; don't scare your sister."

Facing his mother, the daughter-obsessed Madeline, Johnson just frowned and, just like in the previous life, silently packed up his painstakingly collected figures into a bag.

He was a programmer and often needed to work overtime at home, so being without the internet was out of the question. However, he had known since childhood that he couldn't win against his sister.

Suppressing my excitement, I grabbed his hand, yanked back the cable, and plugged it back into the router. "None of this will affect your daughter. In fact, that so-called energy stone you're wearing has strong radiation."

Madeline hastily covered her precious stone. "No, no. The fortune teller said I have a calamity to avoid. This is for my safety."

The atmosphere became awkward for a moment, and Madeline threw Bennett's backpack at me. "There's no time. Skip your meal and take Bennett away quickly."
