One guy even sang a song, and the young ladies applauded and cheered.

When it was my turn to propose a toast, I stood up and said, “Sorry, I don’t drink. I’ll toast you all with water instead.”

The wealthy young ladies, clearly troublemakers, immediately objected when they saw I wasn’t drinking.

“What are you pretending for?” one said, coming over to pull me.

During the scuffle, my collar was pulled down.

“That’s enough,” said the girl who had spoken to me during the day, coming over to shield me and separate the others.

She was clearly their leader, and they immediately backed off.

“Miss Carter likes this type? Don’t worry, we won’t compete.”

“Hey, look at what’s on the back of his neck.”

I suddenly remembered the tattoo on the back of my neck and quickly pulled my collar to cover it.

They all looked surprised when they saw it. The woman leading them, Gianna Carter, frowned.

“Miss Carter, that golden tattoo; isn’t it the one I know about?”

Isla was great in many ways, but she had peculiar tastes. She insisted on tattooing a golden pattern on the back of my neck. I always thought it was a mark of the Turner family’s servant.

This had upset me for a long time, and I usually kept my collar pulled up to cover it. It had accidentally been exposed during the scuffle.

“Are you the person Isla has been searching for?” Gianna asked.

“No, I don’t know the person you’re talking about,” I instinctively denied.

“I heard that kid was raised in the Turner residence since childhood, very mysterious. Running into him here, maybe he’s been abandoned. Why not come with us? He’s handsome.”

Gianna immediately stopped them.

“Gianna Carter, you’re not interested in this kid, are you? Why stop us?”

“I brought you out, so I don’t want you getting into trouble. This golden mark from the Turner family isn’t given to just anyone. Everyone knows this guy isn’t an ordinary person to Isla. Don’t do anything stupid.”

Gianna Carter, I didn’t expect the heir of the Carter family to appear here.

The group found it boring and quickly ended the banquet.

The manager, nodding and bowing, sent the young ladies off but didn’t forget to glare at me.

I walked up to Gianna.

“Thank you, Miss Carter, for helping me out. Please keep this a secret, although there may not be much to keep secret.”

Gianna nodded, looking into the distance and sighed.

“You’re hiding here? Do you need my help?”
