Bell said with contempt, "You stay at home every day and don't make any money. Are you even not willing to do some housework?"
I said in a sharp tone, "Bell, you should understand that if it weren't for you, I would have gone out to work three years ago."
Bell said rudely, "You blame me for everything. You are too lazy to go to work. It has nothing to do with me."
I angrily picked up a cup and threw it on the ground. I couldn't vent my anger at all.
Why on earth did I live my life like this? Bell and I were in the same college. He was a year older than me. We fell in love on campus and entered society, and our relationship has been very stable.
So after Bell proposed to me, I agreed without hesitation. The key point was that Bell looked handsome and well-mannered and his future seemed to be promising. My parents also liked him, so we got married quickly and prepared to have children.
It was not until I gave birth to Emily that Bell's true side were revealed.
Bell was indeed irritable, chauvinistic, extremely inferior, and sensitive. He felt that everyone looked down on him and thought he was incompetent. Even after he became the sales manager, he became even more irritable.
Moreover, he always relied on his mother.
Because Bell's mother said that I gave birth to a daughter, so even Bell looked down on me.
"Don't bully my dad!" Emily screamed. She jumped up from the sofa like crazy and pushed me onto the broken pieces of the cup on the ground.
I felt painful, and blood gushed out from my right hand. When I raised my eyes, I saw a hint of joy in Emily's eyes.
She looked at me who was injured, and it seemed that she had vented her anger.
The last bit of tenderness and hesitation in my heart disappeared.
I stood up and said tiredly, "Let's get a divorce, Bell."
Bell stood up from the sofa and sneered, "Divorce?"
He said in a threatening tone, "Even if we get divorced, Emily won't live with you. You don't have a job or house..."
Before Bell finished speaking, I said, "I don't want the custody of Emily. I will just let her be with you."
I noticed there was a barely perceptible flash of panic in Bell's eyes and felt like my anger that had been pent up for many years had finally found an outlet to vent.
