Go Away! My Unfaithful Ex-boyfriend!Chapter 1 Ghost
I was meticulously applying makeup to an actress, Yvonne Smith, when a chill ran through me, leaving me utterly stunned.
I had seen what only the deceased could harbor. It was a haunting, vengeful aura!
The lipstick thus trailed slightly beyond the natural curve of her lips.
"Can you handle this? If not, consider yourself fired."
I ignored her, maintaining a calm exterior as I posed my question.
"Yvonne, have you ever had sex with the dead?"
"Katherine Ford! Are you out of your mind? You've slept with a dead person, and your entire family has!"
Yvonne leaped from her chair with rage as she shoved me away.
The other two members of the makeup team turned their heads, drawn by the commotion.
"Katherine, what are you implying? It's an honor to be entrusted with Yvonne's makeup. What reckless accusations are these?"
"Exactly. You can feast at table, but you can't speak whatever comes to mind. If this gets out, slander charges will be the least of your worries!"
I was about to clarify when Yvonne's voice cracked with emotion.
"Kathy, I know you're a fan of Noah Hunter and envy me for being the lead actress with a kissing scene with him, but you can't level such accusations at me..."
Yvonne's sobs grew louder.
Yet, anyone with an ounce of discernment could see through her act. Despite her lack of talent, there were those who believed her blindly.
Sure enough, the male staff member who had been fawning over Yvonne frowned. "So that's your game, Katherine. For such a trivial matter, you dare slander our esteemed Yvonne. Besides, Noah is a celebrated movie star, and you think you're worthy of him? Only our Yvonne deserves such stature."
I was left speechless. I had merely done Yvonne's makeup and watched the TV series she and Noah starred in. How had this transformed into an obsession with Noah?
More importantly, I had a boyfriend.
"As for you, I don't even find you appealing..."
Unable to endure his insult further, I fixed him with a cold glare and uttered, "Silence."
The man recoiled, intimidated by my demeanor.
After all, my true profession often required me to interact with the deceased.
Having quelled the gossip, I turned my attention back to Yvonne.
"Yvonne, stop your acting."
"You! Who are you to accuse me of acting!" Yvonne's face flushed crimson.
Nevertheless, her tears dried up as she spoke.
