Uncover the Conspiracy of Best FriendsChapter 1

I was pregnant. When I went to find my husband, I overheard him talking to his friend outside the door.

"You care so much about her. Don't tell me you've really fallen in love with her."

He sneered.

"She? After she gives birth to the child, I can be with Cindy."

Cindy is my best friend and our matchmaker.

I didn't expect that they would treat me as a fertility machine.

I pretended that I didn't know anything and took revenge on them.

Recently, I always felt sick when I ate, and my period was delayed for a few days. I went to the hospital for a check-up.

The results came out soon. I asked the doctor again in disbelief about the result.

However, I got the same answer. I was pregnant!

However, Mike and I had been on birth control, and we had only been married for a month. How could I get pregnant in such a short time?

I walked out of the hospital in a daze and immediately took a taxi to Mike's company to discuss the solution.

Growing up in an orphanage, I was afraid that I couldn't be a good mother. So I rejected his repeated ideas of preparing for pregnancy.

I was totally unprepared.

Feeling the gentle breeze blewing in from outside the window, I was still nervous. I put my hand on my lower abdomen, trying to accept the reality.

My mind was full of thoughts. I didn't know if I should keep this child or not. Could I create a perfect family environment for it?

I was familiar with Mike's office. Before I could push my way in, the voice inside the door made me stop in an instant.

"But you care so much about her. Don't tell me you've really fallen in love with her."

I only heard Mike sneer and say coldly.

"She? After she gives birth to the child, I can be with Cindy."

The report in my hand floated to the ground. I was slightly stunned and felt a chill all over my body. My heart was so painful as if it had been squeezed by an invisible big hand.

Cindy was my best friend and our matchmaker.

It turned out that all of this was a conspiracy and they treated me as a fertility machine!

I was so angry that I couldn't help trembling.

Footsteps came from inside the door. I took a deep breath, bent down quickly, picked up the report, stuffed it into my bag, and knocked on the door.

Noah opened the door and walked out. When he saw me outside the door, a hint of a smile flashed across his eyes as he spoke as if nothing had happened.
