I saw red bloodshot in his eyes, and then I brought dinner to the table.

"You have been tired recently, so I made you your favorite food.

"Have a taste of the fried fish and mushroom soup."

Luke hugged me from behind, with his chin resting on the top of my head.

His tired breathing made me feel a little distressed. "Thank you, Olivia.

"After I'm done with this, I will go home early and cook for you."

My hand holding the spoon trembled, and I pushed him onto the seat.

As he ate the food, I felt more and more disappointed in my heart.

Sarah said that Luke hated eating fish and mushrooms since childhood.

My rationality was instantly overwhelmed by Sarah's words, and I snatched Luke's fork away.

He looked at me in surprise.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

I learned to cook and bake cakes just because Luke liked it. How ridiculous it was!

Suppressing the urge to cry, I went to the kitchen and brought a plate of spaghetti.

Luke was stunned. "You..."

I tried to control my emotions and smiled, "I think this tastes better."

Before going to bed, I booked a flight.

Subconsciously, I wanted to escape from Luke and everything about him because I found that I seemed to never understand him.

In other words, he was deliberately disguising himself.

Luke held me in his arms, with love in his eyes.

"Luke, I will go on a business trip tomorrow."

"Do you have to go?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, I'll wait for you to come back."

Resting my head on his shoulder, I asked him again.

"Luke, you will wait for me to come back, right?"

He nodded.

When I woke up, Luke was gone.

On the table was the breakfast he had prepared, and next to it was a note with the words "Wait for me".

There were many flights every day, and I didn't expect to meet Luke at the airport.

A sweet-looking girl stood next to him, talking and laughing with him with her arm around him.

It was Sarah.

Luke didn't see me, but Sarah did.

She raised her head at me proudly, with disdain in her eyes.

Standing on tiptoe affectionately, she put her lips close to Luke's ear and said something.

Then, Luke and I looked into each other's eyes.

I clenched tightly around the suitcase handle, but I still nodded and smiled at him.

There was a moment of shock and panic in Luke's eyes.

He walked towards me quickly and grabbed my wrist. "Olivia, I can explain."

"Well, I'm listening."

I endured the pain and tried to pull my wrist out of Luke's hand. Then I took a step back, trying to avoid him.
