I was betrayed by my boyfriend, Callum, and my best friend, Isabel.

The two of them appeared in front of me condescendingly.

Isabel proudly displayed her flat belly.

Isabel said, "Ashley, I already have Callum's child. I hope you can understand and step aside to live in peace."

Callum watched like a bystander, grinning as if he reached the pinnacle of his life.

Despite having only shared a meal, they were now a couple.

Isabel flaunted her diamond ring, taunting, "You couldn't win Callum's mother's approval, but I did easily. You are such a loser."

She continued, "You're just an ordinary high school teacher with a meager salary. What makes you think you can compete with me for Callum?"

Just as I was about to respond, my phone rang.

After picking up the phone, Tessa yelled loudly, "Ashley, why haven't you come to our house this month to tutor Neo?"

I moved the phone away from my ear and replied calmly, "I've just broken up with Callum."

I smiled and deliberately added, "You can look for your new family member to tutor Neo now."

Tessa said, "Even after you broke up, you still have to tutor Neo. As a professional teacher, you are far ahead of her in terms of knowledge. If it weren't for her pregnancy, she wouldn't be part of our family."

Her voice was very penetrating, and Isabel's expression darkened.

I smiled and said, "It's your choice who you want to find. It doesn't concern me."

I quickly hung up the phone, ignoring Tessa's hysterics.

I turned to Isabel, "His mother seems not pleased with you. If you want Callum, take him. I'm afraid he can't support your ambitions."

Isabel's chest rose and fell in anger.

She then feigned weakness to Callum, saying, "Your ex is bullying me. You should defend me, or I'll have an abortion."

Finally jolted from his fantasy, Callum consoled her by belittling me, claiming he was never interested in me and only valued me for tutoring Neo freely.

Lifting himself by degrading others was his common tactic.

Isabel turned her face away, crossed her arms, and snorted coldly.

Callum continued to flatter her, "You're pregnant with my son and vital for my family's future. Ashley is just a teacher. Since she made you unhappy today, I will definitely complain to the school until she is fired. My mother speaks directly, but I love you the most."

Isabel smiled, emphasizing that they would get married this week.
