Farewell to My Unrequited LoveChapter 1

I had been married to Ian Lewis for three years. He loved me so much.

It was not until I accidentally saw the woman's agreement in his safe.

I frantically questioned him. But he calmly replied, "Didn't your dad cheat too? Your mom could tolerate it. I am just playing around. Why can't you?"

Later, I sold the house and car he gave me. I destroyed the evidence of our time together. I then left.

...

After Ian and I fought over the kept-woman agreement, he didn't come back for three days.

I no longer called him to ask where he was like I used to.

But today, he came back in the early hours of the morning.

I felt very uncomfortable today. I couldn't sleep, tossing and turning.

So when he came back, I was still awake.

Hearing the rustling sounds behind me, I slowly closed my eyes.

Soon, I felt the bed beside me sink down. Before I could react, a warm chest pressed against me.

My whole body stiffened.

The embrace that once made me feel incredibly warm.

At this moment, it only felt repulsive.

I moved my body to avoid his touch.

But I heard him suddenly say, "Why is your body so cold?"

I just had an abortion today. My body hadn't recovered. How could it not be cold?

I touched the back of my cold hand and said lightly, "I am not feeling well."

He paused and reached out to hold me tighter.

But I brushed off his hand and got out of bed.

Ian frowned as he watched me. "Where are you going?"

"The guest room."

I don't know if my attitude angered him, but Ian's face showed anger. He said, "When will you grow up? Do you have to throw a tantrum with me?"

His words were impatient, as if I was the one being unreasonable from start to finish.

My previously calm heart rippled. I had a bitter smile on my lips.

"In your eyes, the one who is always causing trouble is me, right?"

Ian stared at me. He didn't respond to my words.

But he silently agreed with what I said.

I curled my lips coldly and looked back at him. "Since we have reached the point where we can't stand each other, let's find a time to go to the civil affairs bureau to file for divorce."

Hearing this, the anger in Ian's eyes deepened.

He got out of bed and came straight at me.

"Clara! I have made it very clear. She can give me the novelty you can't. After this period, I will naturally get rid of her. To me, you are the most important."

Hearing this shameless statement, I stared in shock.
