After Marrying the CEO, I Regretted itChapter 1

I married a CEO, Fiona Smith, who was beautiful and rich. My mother, Audrey, was very proud of her for a while.

However, after seven years of marriage, our relationship became increasingly dull.

Audrey was seriously ill in the hospital. She wanted to see Fiona and her grandson but was unable to do so. In the end, Audrey left with regret.

I didn't inform Fiona's family. I quietly took care of Audrey's funeral in my hometown, and then called Fiona to file for a divorce.

The provocative voice of Fiona's assistant came from the other end of the phone. "I'm sorry, Mr. Smith. She is very tired and fell asleep at my house. Please don't disturb her."

It wasn't until the next morning that she replied to me with a message indifferently: [As you wish!]

——

A few days later, she came back from a business trip.

When I saw her, I didn't go to her as enthusiastically as before. I just continued watching TV.

"Help me pick out a pair of pajamas. I'm very tired." Fiona ordered me as usual, then took off her clothes and went to take a shower.

There was no one at home, so she took off her clothes one by one and threw them on the ground, revealing her beautiful figure and skin.

If it were in the past, I would definitely not be able to control myself and would go up to her, please her, and take a shower with her.

But now, I had no feelings.

After she finished her shower, she opened the bathroom door and saw me still sitting on the sofa watching TV. She frowned slightly and asked me, "Why didn't you get my pajamas? I'll wear your favorite one with cartoons on it, okay?"

"When are we getting divorced?"

I asked calmly.

"Stop it. It was so late last time you called me that I was already asleep."

Fiona said indifferently, "Erik is my assistant, so it's okay for him to answer my phone. I've already blamed him. Can you stop being jealous?"

"Jealous?"

She thought I was still jealous as before.

But she didn't know that I had been totally disappointed.

"Okay, go get me my pajamas. I'm really tired. Let's go to bed early and go to the hospital to visit Audrey tomorrow," Fiona said.

Her words deeply hurting my heart.

I looked at her coldly. "Visiting Audrey? Where are you going?"

"Hospital, of course."
