"Okay." I tiptoed and kissed his cheek.

Easton's face instantly turned red. He clenched his fist and coughed lightly while awkwardly looking away.

He looked so cute.

I covered my mouth and chuckled.

Per the employees, Easton was much gentler after this business trip.

Regarding this, I had no comment.

Most of the time, he worked quietly at his desk while I sat on the sofa bored.

Every time I offered to help him share some of his work, he never let me do more.

Occasionally, fearing that I would be bored staying in the office all day, he let me go out for fun.

I didn't want to. I insisted on sticking to him.

Every evening after work, Easton would cook dinner for me at home. After we finished dinner together, he would go to the study and work until late at night.

I couldn't bear to see him work too hard, so I decided to go downstairs and buy lunch for him that day.

When I took the elevator to the first floor, I accidentally overheard employees talking about Alana. I stopped and eavesdropped.

"Alana hasn't shown up for a while. Isn't she always with Mr. Lawson?"

"She went on a long vacation on the day Mr. Lawson came back. Don't you know?"

"Mr. Lawson has a wife. Now that they are so loving, she should have given up."

Hearing this, I pretended to cough.

The gossiping employees dispersed as soon as they saw me.

After lunch, he continued working.

Easton suddenly exclaimed, "Oh."

I got up from the sofa and walked towards him, asking, "What's wrong?"

"I left the documents that need to be signed in the study today." He frowned slightly and looked at me pitifully, asking, "Am I stupid?"

Surprisingly, he, the high and mighty President of the Lawson Group, would say so.

I laughed, saying, "Of course, you're not stupid. Wait, I'll go back and get it for you now."

Fearing that he would refuse, I ran out of the office after finishing my words.

I finally had a chance to help him.

Back home, I walked quickly towards the study.

Upon opening a drawer of his desk, I saw two red certificates.

It was strange.

I remembered that one of the marriage certificates was in my hands.

Out of curiosity, I unfolded the two marriage certificates.

For a moment, I even felt like I was illiterate.

They turned out to be the marriage certificates of Easton and Alana!

Holding the two thin red books in my hands, I had mixed feelings.
