Easton sounded indifferent with his voice devoid of any emotion.
Except for him, the three of us present were all stunned by his words.
Javion was in a panic, wondering what to do or say. He stuttered for a long time, but he couldn't say a word.
Easton suddenly laughed and raised his eyebrows slightly. Then he said, "Then, it's up to what you got."
After speaking, he took Alana's hand, pretending not to care.
In the end, I didn't know how I got home.
I felt like a walking corpse.
After that day, Easton and Alana remained close, but he never spoke to me again.
Instead, it was Javion who appeared frequently in front of me.
He used to address me respectfully. Now he addressed me intimately, trying to be close to me.
I found him annoying and always found excuses to send him away.
"Giana, Easton is on a business trip today," Javion said meaningfully, adding, "He didn't bring Alana with him this time."
How ridiculous it was. I could only find out about my husband's whereabouts from someone else.
"This time?" I turned my gaze to him, asking, "What do you want to say?"
Javion frowned. With a hint of reluctance on his face, he said, "Everyone in our circle knows that Easton and Alana have been childhood sweethearts. Why can't you let go of yourself and give me a chance?"
He spoke it as if I were a mistress.
I admitted that I had always liked Easton, but it was him who confessed to me first.
I stubbornly raised my right hand and showed off the valuable ring on my ring finger. Sneering repeatedly, I said, "Javion, I am married, and Easton is my legal husband. I hope you can understand this."
Seeing that I was unyielding, Javion left my office in frustration.
I picked up my cell phone and started to investigate Easton's schedule.
It turned out that he was on a business trip to Crotol, which was why he didn't bring Alana with him.
Then I dialed the phone number of Easton's assistant and asked about his return date.
"Mrs. Lawson, Mr. Lawson will be back next Friday at 9 a.m.," the assistant replied.
After thinking for a moment, I said, "Okay, I will pick him up then."
The one on the other end seemed to want to say something, but I hung up the phone directly.
I sat back in the chair weakly and closed my eyes. Suddenly, I recalled the scene when Easton had confessed to me.
Easton was a senior student who was famous on campus.
