"What are you doing now? Is your gang contacting you?" Levi said, reaching for my phone.
I dodged his hand. The last time I saw this message in my previous life, Leo had already died in the car. Soon after, Emma would call Levi.
For some reason, I felt a spark of anticipation in my heart.
At that moment, the glass door was knocked on. "Charlotte, it's time to start streaming," someone said.
I was a streamer. It was time to start work.
Levi's gaze sharpened. He immediately grabbed my arm. "You aren't satisfied with making money at home and now want to take the public's money too! Disgusting!" he said.
After saying that, he dragged me outside. "Since you refuse to listen, I'll see if you're embarrassed."
"I'm not embarrassed. I want to see if you're embarrassed," I said.
He dragged me to the hallway. Many colleagues were streaming and came out, with quite a few holding their phones.
"Come on, everyone. Look over here," Levi said, waving his hand.
The man in black behind Levi took out a banner. It had the words "Missing Person" written on it.
He leaned into my ear and said, "Aren't you afraid of ruining your reputation? Then let's see what violent enforcement feels like!"
As more colleagues gathered to watch, Levi changed his expression. He instantly became a pitiful father who had lost his child and pointed at me, shouting, "After her mom married me, she shamelessly moved into my house, hoping to rekindle our relationship.
"But her private life is a mess. She's promiscuous, bringing men into the villa to fool around at any chance!
"She maxed out my secondary card on those men and spent millions in just a few days. When her mom and I refused to give her more money, she threatened suicide!" Levi said. His voice was filled with outrage.
The number of viewers in several streamers' rooms shot up instantly.
It wasn't just colleagues whispering. The livestreams were flooded with insults, accusing me of being manipulative.
"And this woman even kidnapped her brother for the family inheritance! My precious son is still out there, and we don't know if he's alive or dead. He's just a month old!
"Can you understand my feelings as a father?"
My colleagues were swayed by his performance. They began to believe him and whispered to each other. Their voices grew louder.
