"I knew you were after my fortune, but I never thought you'd be this cruel. Hiding your own brother to threaten me?" Levi said through gritted teeth.

Levi growled. "You've already spent millions. Wasn't that enough? Have I ever mistreated you?"

Thanks to Emma's manipulation, Levi had always believed I was after his fortune.

During our relationship, Emma often invited us over for dinner. She was always praising Levi.

Later, she played both sides, pretending to support me while feeding Levi lies.

She told me Levi wasn't sincere about me while feeding him stories about me being a gold digger. It deepened his misunderstandings.

At first, I had no idea Levi was wealthy. It was Emma who recognized his expensive watch.

During a quarrel between Levi and me, my mom went behind my back and married him.

Since then, we've lived under the same roof but barely spoke.

But every penny Emma spent was blamed on me. Every man she flirted with became proof of my infidelity, making Levi hate me even more.

So even though there were many inconsistencies today, Levi believed Emma's words without question. He was not even bothering to investigate.

"So, if I hide your son, you suddenly can't have more kids?" I said coldly.

My tone was icy as I added, "Besides, can't you check if I spent your money? Who even wants your filthy money?"

Seeing that I wasn't backing down, Levi slammed my head against the desk. I was blurred.

His chest heaved with anger, as if he might explode at any moment.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

"Charlotte, I picked these flowers for you today. They're fresh and beautiful..." Isaac said, pushing the door open.

Isaac's words trailed off as he took in the scene.

Levi turned and smirked. "So this is your suitor, huh?" he said, crossing his arms.

"Who are you?

"You're hurting her. Let her go," Isaac said. He gripped the flower stem tightly and looked at me nervously.

Levi smiled smugly, not loosening his grip at all. "I heard you found yourself a wealthy fiancé. Is it this guy?"

I didn't say anything and let Isaac misunderstand.

I had found a man for myself, but it wasn't him. The man before me had been pursuing me for a long time. It was almost to the point of obsession.

Seeing that he didn't turn around and run, it would be a lie to say I wasn't moved.

"I advise you not to waste your time on her. She isn't worth it.
