Seeing that he had almost finished reading, I calmly spoke up.

"I have consulted a lawyer, and the prenuptial agreement holds legal validity. I came here today to have you sign it.

And by the way, I'll be taking back ownership of the company."

My words were resolute, but Eric's expression grew increasingly grim.

He looked at me deeply and then leaned closer, smiling.

"Seraphina, do you think you can threaten me?

I wrote this prenuptial agreement just for fun. Do you really think I can give you such a big company just because you want it? What a joke!"

With a cold smile, Eric raised his hand and tore the prenuptial agreement into pieces.

I was furious and picked up the ashtray from the table, throwing it at him.

"Eric, you are despicable!"

He stood there like a thug, laughing as he watched me. When the ashtray came crashing toward him, he didn't even bother to dodge.

It hit his forehead right away, creating a wound and causing blood to trickle down from the corner of his eye.

"Eric!"

Ava, who had been eavesdropping at the door while holding a cup of coffee, rushed toward me desperately when she saw Eric's forehead being hit.

"Seraphina, how could you, you shrew! How can you hit him like that?

His forehead must be so painful!"

Ava looked concerned and wanted to approach and console him, but Eric stopped her.

Ava glared at me hatefully.

"You crazy woman, have you gone mad with greed?

You are sick now and unable to take care of Eric for the rest of his life. Why do you have the audacity to stand on the moral high ground and accuse him?

Even if there is a divorce, you should be the one leaving with nothing!"

Ava, as if to avenge Eric, picked up the broken pieces of the coffee cup on the ground and lunged towards me.

"I'll make you feel the same pain as Eric!" she exclaimed.

As I saw the sharp shard about to touch my skin, I realized the danger and quickly stepped back.

But unexpectedly, she continued to swing it toward me viciously.

She lost her balance and nearly stumbled, and the shard she held happened to land on my calf, slicing through the skin and causing blood to flow out instantly.

My face turned pale.

I desperately tried to cover the bleeding spot with my hand, but I realized that the blood was only increasing, and I couldn't stop it no matter what.

Suddenly, I remembered what the doctor had warned me.
