"Shane is the only son of this family. Everything here belongs to him. Once you get married, you'll be an outsider. Who are you to make me leave?

"And your cat is disgusting," she said.

I didn't have time to react. Jane rushed to Lucy and grabbed it. She then ran towards the window.

I was anxious. I reached out to grab her arm, but Lucy had already been thrown out the window.

Thankfully, the cat landed on the open balcony downstairs. I quickly ran to my neighbor's place.

Lucy was frightened. She curled up in my arms, meowing. My heart ached, and my body trembled.

If I could still tolerate this, then I've wasted the past twenty years of my life.

Filled with rage, I returned home to find Jane sitting on my bed, directing my brother to take all the clothes out of my closet.

"I like the big balcony in Olivia's room. Shane, tell her to give me this room," she said.

"What if Olivia doesn't agree?" he said.

"Shane, are you a man or not? Do you still have to listen to Olivia?" she said.

"Huh, sorry.

I do have the final say in this house."

I kicked the door open with a bang, coldly staring at Jane. I grabbed her suitcase from the floor and threw it straight into the trash outside.

Jane was stunned for a second, then immediately started to go crazy.

"Are you out of your mind?

"You dare throw out my suitcase? You're a child with no upbringing!

"Pick up my suitcase right now and apologize to me," she said.

I didn't say anything. I stepped forward and grabbed her hair. I dragged her out the door, throwing her outside.

"Get out! Don't dirty my doorstep!" I said.

Jane clutched her head in pain, cursing non-stop.

Seeing that I didn't stop, she started cursing at my brother.

"Shane, are you blind?" she said.

My brother saw I was serious and tried to step in. I threw him out the door as well.

Jane found an opening and raised her hand to slap me. I grabbed her wrist and slapped her hard instead. "Get out!" I said.

Before she could react, I slammed the door shut.

Jane continued banging on the door. I called security. As the homeowner, I had both of them kicked out of the community.

It was instantly peaceful. Even my stress melted away.

Less than ten minutes later, I received a voice message from my brother. Jane's hysterical voice was mixed with my brother's complaints.

[Olivia, you dared to treat me like this today. I will tell your mom, and she'll deal with you!] Jane said.
