Mobile Blood Bank: I Leave My Ugly Family Behind!Chapter 1 Bringing Me Home
When my biological parents found me, I was rummaging through a pile of stones in a rural trash heap.
They couldn't even hide the excitement on their faces when they saw my dirty appearance.
Without hesitation, they brought me, their biological daughter, back home as an adopted child. Not only did they want me to be a mobile blood bank for their adopted daughter, but they also forced me to marry an old man for business gains.
I toyed with the piece of jade raw stone I had picked up from the trash heap.
They probably didn't know that I was exactly like a good luck charm. The better people treated me, the luckier they got, and vice versa.

The moment my mother Rayne Hebert saw me, she rushed over to me, ignoring the dirt on me, and hugged me tightly. Her voice was trembling as her tears were falling on my shoulder. "Athena Spencer, I finally found you."
Behind my father Draven Harrell stood a delicate-looking girl biting her lip, her eyes reddening as she coughed heavily.
Rayne's body stiffened, and she quickly let go of me, turning to show concern for Laura Harrell, promising that she would always be their lovely daughter in the Harrell family.
Laura curled her lips slightly, covering her mouth and nose as she looked at me weakly. "Athena, I really want to be as healthy as you! I have congenital heart disease, and I'm not even their biological child. Who knows how long I'll live..."
Before she could finish, Rayne started crying, comforting her for a long time.
I stroked the jade raw stone in my hand and sneered, "I wouldn't mind trading places with you, but I doubt you if you would enjoy a life of scavenging through trash."
Laura's face turned pale, and Rayne seemed to realize something, sighed, and shoved her into the luxury car. She then turned to take the stone from my hand, intending to throw it away. "Athena, I won't let you suffer anymore."
I snatched it back. "This is a treasure!"
I had intentionally sought out that piece of jade, but unfortunately, no one recognized its value.
But Rayne misunderstood it. After taking me downtown, she bought me a bunch of clothes and jewelry and treated me to a spa day.
When she saw the old scars on my back, she cried again and swore to make it up to me.
