In my previous life, she had stormed into the room and slapped me across the face, and she didn't look the least bit like she couldn't walk. How come it was different for her precious little daughter?
I really wanted to see what would happen when she entered that courtyard. Would she give her little daughter a slap for the sake of the White family's reputation?
As soon as we entered the courtyard, I opened my eyes wide and watched the fascinating scene unfolding before me, almost laughing out loud.
The guards at the princess's mansion really did treat Edward as a lecher, pulling him out of bed with his clothes in disarray.
Chloe, for some unknown reason, gave him clothes to cover up, with her hair disheveled, trying to explain something to the guards.
This scene was so spectacular that everyone present should have been amazed and felt that the spring banquet was well worth it.
Chloe noticed a large group of people had arrived and immediately panicked.
Before she could say anything, I covered my heart with my hand, pretending to cry.
"You, you...Chloe, how could you have an affair with my fiancé?"
With the dim light, everyone finally noticed Edward's true identity and their interest was piqued even more. They began to talk in a chaotic manner.
Edward had never been in such a disgraceful situation before. He struggled to explain, "It's not like this. I was framed and drugged with philter. Chloe sacrificed herself to save me. That's why we are in this state. Please believe me, Your Highness."
Hearing this, Chloe immediately cooperated by shedding tears, presenting a meek and submissive appearance.
The princess's eyes swept over them and landed on my mother, the current premier's wife.
However, my mother stepped forward and hugged Chloe tightly, feeling sorry for her.
"Chloe, you've been wronged. I will definitely help you find the person who drugged you," she said.
No one cared about me, the real victim.
Fortunately, the public's eyes were sharp, and someone immediately stepped forward to question Edward.
"Just saying you're drugged is not enough. How do we know that's not your excuse?"
Edward looked at that person with a fierce gaze, then turned to look at me.
"Sophia can testify that I originally intended to ask her out," he said, trying to drag me into the mess.
I was burning with anger, but I didn't show it on my face.
