My Best Friend Murdered MeChapter 1 Rebirth

My best friend said that we would delete each other's chat history before we died.

I believed her. I told her all my passwords.

On the night my mom had a car accident, my best friend deleted the call log. I didn't see my mom one last time.

When my dad was seriously ill and needed surgery, I found out the account balance was zero while paying the fees.

It was then that I realized that all the money had been secretly transferred away by my best friend.

I cried as I opened my eyes. I had actually gone back to the day when my best friend asked me for the passwords!

My best friend, Madelyn Jones, held my arm, looking at me affectionately. "Claire, we have so many secrets. We still need to delete them," she said.

I lay on the hospital bed. I vaguely realized that I had returned to the day she asked me for the passwords.

In my previous life, I had been accidentally injured. She hit my weak spot. I decisively told her all the passwords.

Thinking about it now, I was dead. What's the point of leaving a good name behind?

Looking at Madelyn before me, pretending to wipe her tears, I felt disgusted. It's truly sickening!

I smiled. I grabbed her phone. "Then you tell me your phone password first. You might die before me," I said.

Madelyn's expression changed. A trace of malice appeared in her eyes. "What nonsense are you talking about?!" she snapped.

I raised my eyebrows. I was about to enter the password on her phone.

Madelyn snatched the phone back. She decisively stuffed it into her pocket. "I can't remember the password. I usually use face recognition," she said.

I pretended to sigh. Suddenly, I acted as if I had thought of something. "It's okay. You can input my face data into your phone," I suggested.

Madelyn ignored my words. She placed a hand on my slightly bruised leg. She clenched her fist tightly.

My injury was completely an accident. Madelyn wanted to use this to control me.

I had no intention of telling her the passwords, so Madelyn's face darkened. She picked up her bag. She wanted to leave.

"Since you're not in any serious condition. There's no point in me staying here. I'll go shopping first," she said.

I grabbed Madelyn's hand and smiled brightly. "Madelyn, I was just joking. You can look at my phone whenever you want," I said.

I still told her all the passwords.
