When my father, Tom, saw me, he slapped me. I covered my burning cheek and looked at him in disbelief.

He said, "Victoria, you are outrageous. You dare to hit your sister!"

Behind Tom, Megan was looking at me with a gloating look.

I said, "Dad, why don't you ask me why I slapped her? She stole my boyfriend!"

Tom said, "If your boyfriend really likes you, would he be snatched away by Megan? Look at yourself. How can you compare with Megan?"

I held back my tears and said, "So you came all the way from your hometown just to repay me for the slap on Megan's behalf."

My mother, Kayla, stepped forward and said, "Victoria, I heard from your sister that your company went bankrupt. How much money do you have now?"

I said, "Not a penny. All my money has been used to pay off my debts."

Kayla was so angry. "You're so incompetent. You bankrupt such a big media company! I didn't think highly of you since you was a child, and I was right! If it weren't for Megan's success, our family would be starving now!"

I said, "Mom, I opened Megan's company for her."

"So what? At least Megan can manage it well, unlike you!"

I said, "Mom, if I hadn't been paying Megan to fix the problem, her company would have gone bankrupt a long time ago."

Kayla said, "Don't quibble. You are the one who is bankrupt now! We feel ashamed to have a daughter like you. We are too embarrassed to talk to our relatives and friends!"

I said, "Then you can just pretend that you don't have a daughter like me."

Dad snorted, "We didn't have a daughter like you in the first place. We came here today just to sever ties with you!"

I said, "Mom and Dad, are you really going to cut off ties with me? You don't need me to support you anymore?"

"We can't count on you. Hopefully you won't be a burden to us."

I looked at my parents in front of me without much emotion, because I had accumulated enough disappointment and no longer had any expectations.

Now that I was broke and of no use to them, they couldn't wait to get rid of me.

That was great, just what I wanted.

I said, "Then let's make a deal."

"It's already been drafted."

Megan threw the agreement at me and said, "This is the agreement I asked a lawyer to draft. We have already signed it. If you think it's okay, just sign it."

Megan acted very quickly. In just one night, she not only managed to get our parents over, but also drafted the agreement.
