"How could it be possible that I got poisoned by potatoes? It's obviously the cakes' problem!" Madison said with a snort, "They want to keep us in the hospital and make money from us? No way!"

Madison still didn't believe that there was something wrong with the potatoes, but she forgot that Quinn and Liam were the only ones who ate the cakes.

The doctor was so angry at Madison that he said, "If you want to be discharged from the hospital, you have to sign a waiver. You can only be discharged after signing it."

When we got home, Quinn looked at the potatoes a painful look on his face, but he still told me to dispose of them.

Madison refused to give them to me, saying she would wash them a few more times to feed the chickens at home.

I whispered, "Grandma, don't eat them anymore. What if you get sick again?"

Madison slapped me in the face and said, "Shut up! It's obviously the cakes that have a problem. We can't waste the good potatoes."

I covered my painful right cheek and looked at her, thinking, "Old shrew, you will regret it if you don't listen to my advice."

The next morning, Madison urged me to get up quickly to pick up my brother and take him home.

I said, "Liam may not be fully recovered yet, so it's not appropriate to bring him back."

I was slapped on the left side of my face. It hurt.

"You are a jinx. You never say a good word. You just want Liam to get sick!" Madison pointed at my forehead and said sternly.

Quinn was drinking chicken soup and didn't even look at me.

Madison turned around, went to the kitchen, and got out a chicken, which she tied tightly in a plastic bag.

I looked at the chicken and swallowed my saliva. My father looked at me with disdain and said, "Eat the bread. The chicken is for your brother."

Despite the nurse's dissuasion, Madison insisted on feeding Liam, which made the nurse so angry that she slammed the door and left.

Liam had been greedy since he was young. When he got the chance to eat chicken, he naturally finished it.

Nicole took care of Liam for the whole night and also got a chicken neck to supplement her nutrition.

After Liam finished eating, Madison urged my father to go for discharge surgery. The doctor rushed over after hearing the news.

"The child is not in a good condition to be discharged from the hospital."
