Now all I remembered was that Alan and I broke up. I had forgotten every detail of the more than two years I spent with him.

I hurried back to the banquet hall with the earrings, just in time for the newlyweds to toast their parents. When no one was looking, I handed the velvet box to Bella and said, "Put them on quickly."

I followed her and secretly replaced the red wine with Coke for her. When we arrived at the table of the groom's friends, I saw Alan at a glance.

His gaze fell directly on me.

As soon as we approached, a group of people started to make a noise, "Bill Green, you can't fool us. I heard that Bella can drink a lot."

"But...she can't drink alcohol now."

Bill's words were vague, but everyone understood what he meant.

"Oh~"

There was a burst of laughter.

Alan suddenly said, "Since Bella can't drink, let the bridesmaid drink."

Probably everyone at the table knew about the things between Alan and me, so they all looked like they were expecting something. Alan's fingers tapped the tabletop lightly, and a teasing smile lifted on the corners of his mouth.

Finally, I toasted everyone one by one, suppressed the discomfort, and then vomited in the bathroom.

Fortunately, the wedding banquet was over when I came out. I sent a message to Bella, then went out through the side door and went straight home.

As soon as I entered the door, I smelled the familiar odor of smoke.

There was a spark flickering at the location of the sofa.

With a "click", I turned on the light in the living room and blinked a few times because of the sudden light. When I saw Alan, I was a little unhappy. "How did you get in?"

He pressed the unburned cigarette butt into the ashtray and strode towards me. "You know that."

When I saw the key placed on the table, I smiled. I actually forgot to change the lock on the door after breaking up.

I got around him and poured myself a glass of water.

Alan hugged me hard from behind. "You left me the key on purpose just to get me to come over, didn't you? Amy, don't play hard to get again."

It was quite funny. He was the one who said he wanted to break up, so why he was pretending to be so affectionate now?

"Well. Just leave the key here and don't come over again."

I ordered him to leave.

Alan's hands had already reached the hem of my clothes. I turned around and stepped back. Then he suddenly pressed me against the sofa, his chest against my back.
