As I walked out of the mall, I saw a group of young people from a distance, holding a banner and rushing toward me with great fanfare.
Their large crowd attracted a lot of attention from the surrounding people. I stood at the entrance and watched for a while, only to realize that the banner read.
[The land is so beautiful, and mistresses are so bold.]
The girl leading the group started a live stream and shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Today, I'm here to act on behalf of heaven, catching the mistress and ridding the earth of evil!"
"Of all days, why did this have to happen on my marriage registration day? It's such bad luck! That old woman is in the mall right now. Come, everyone, let's livestream this! The wife fights the mistress!"
I clicked my tongue, thinking to myself. A wife fighting a mistress—this is going to be quite the show!
I quickly found a spot in the front row to watch, but when I looked up, I saw that the enthusiastic crowd was holding their banner and walking straight toward me.
The phones were up, the live stream was on, and the girl began hurling insults at me without warning.
"It's her! Seducing my husband! Even at her age, she's still out here being a whore. You are really dedicated!"
Then, she slapped me across the face, leaving me dizzy and disoriented.
"Everyone, look closely. This is how a wife teaches a mistress a lesson!"
Three or four phones were pointed directly at my face, and the girl grabbed my collar and slapped me several more times, drawing even more onlookers.
"She's hitting someone!"
"A wife hitting a mistress, makes sense!"
Before I could react, the girl preemptively cried in front of the camera, quickly painting herself as the victim.
"My boyfriend and I have a great relationship; we haven't had a single fight in three years. Today is our big day for marriage registration, but before I could even get to the civil affairs office, I found out someone was seducing my boyfriend!"
"Maybe it's because my boyfriend has too much money and keeps attracting gold diggers! Look at this; she's still out here at her age trying to dig for gold!"
The comments in the live stream were filled with insults directed at me.
"I can't stand mistresses my whole life! Support the streamer; she must teach her a lesson!"
