Revenge of the Reborn LunaChapter 1

SENNA'S POV

The wind howled around me as I ran, my paws pounding the forest floor with desperate speed. The moon hung low in the sky, casting long shadows through the trees. Each breath I took burned my lungs, and I could feel the blood pounding in my ears. But I couldn't stop. Not now. Not when they were so close.

The wolves chasing me were relentless, their snarls echoing through the night, closing in with every heartbeat. I knew these woods better than anyone and had run through them countless times, but tonight, they felt foreign, the trees pressing in like walls, trapping me in this deadly game. My body ached from the bruises and cuts, but the adrenaline coursing through me dulled the pain. Only survival mattered now.

I pushed forward, my limbs straining as I navigated the familiar terrain. I was faster and more agile, but they had the advantage of numbers. Every snap of a twig, every rustle in the underbrush, reminded me that they were still there, hunting me, driving me towards...

My heart sank as the ground beneath me abruptly gave way, revealing the cliff's edge. I skidded to a stop, rocks tumbling into the abyss below. My breath caught in my throat as I peered down into the darkness, the drop so deep that the bottom was invisible, swallowed by shadow. There was nowhere left to run.

I whirled around, my fur bristling, eyes narrowed at the wolves that now circled me, their eyes gleaming with hunger and bloodlust. These were not my wolves. Not anymore. They were feral, maddened by their desire to tear me apart. I bared my teeth, a low growl rumbling in my chest as I stood my ground, determined not to go down without a fight.

But then, as if the night itself had conjured her, a figure stepped forward from the shadows, her presence silencing the pack with a mere flick of her wrist. My heart twisted painfully as the moonlight revealed her face.

"Paige," I snarled my voice a mixture of disbelief and fury. "So it was you all along!"

She smiled, that cold, twisted smile I had come to hate, her eyes glinting with malicious delight. She stepped closer, and the wolves parted for her, their loyalty clear. She had them under her control, every last one of them.

"Surprised?" Paige's voice dripped with mockery. "I thought you'd be smarter than this, Senna. But then again, you were always too trusting, too naive."

"Is it not enough that you took my husband, my people?" I demanded, anger boiling beneath my skin. "Now you want to kill me too?"

She laughed a cruel sound that echoed off the cliffs. "Yes," she admitted, her tone devoid of any remorse. "I just can't stand seeing you acting so high and mighty. Always the perfect Luna, always so beloved. But look at you now—nothing but a scared little wolf with nowhere left to run. I want you gone, Senna. Gone forever."

My heart pounded in my chest, but I didn't let her see my fear. "Do you think killing me will make you strong? You're just a coward hiding behind a pack of wolves."

Her eyes darkened, and for a moment, I saw the depth of her hatred. "No more words, Senna. Kill her!" Paige's command was sharp, her voice cutting through the night like a blade.

The wolves lunged at me in a frenzied attack, their teeth snapping, their claws slashing through the air. I fought back with everything I had, my wolf form twisting and turning as I tried to fend them off. But there were too many. They tore at my fur, their fangs sinking into my flesh. Pain exploded through me, each bite a fresh wave of agony.

My mind raced, the realization sinking in: I was going to die here. All the strength I once had, all the power I commanded as Luna, had been stripped away. When the Ironheart Pack merged with the South River Pack, I lost half of my power, weakened by the bond that had tethered me to Alpha Rennon, the man who was once my mate.

If only I had remained strong. If only I hadn't let love weaken me. But it was too late now. Regret filled my heart as I fought with the last of my strength, blood streaming from my wounds, staining the earth beneath me. I could feel my energy waning, the edges of my vision blurring as the wolves closed in for the kill.

One of them leaped at me, aiming for my throat, its eyes gleaming with the anticipation of the final blow. Desperation surged within me, and with a final burst of strength, I threw the wolf off me, creating a small opening. Without hesitation, I turned and leaped off the cliff, my body plunging into the abyss below.

The wind roared in my ears as I fell, my body twisting in the air. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the inevitable impact. Better to die on my own terms, to deny Paige the satisfaction of watching me suffer.

But just as the darkness threatened to swallow me whole, a burning sensation surged through my body, and I heard a voice in my mind— Naiah, my wolf. "They will pay for it!" She snarled.

And then, just as suddenly, the world around me shifted. A blinding light flashed before my eyes, and the sensation of falling vanished. My heart pounded in my chest as I opened my eyes, expecting to see the afterlife.

But instead, I found myself lying on a soft bed, the familiar scent of pine and cedar filling my senses. I knew this place. My heart raced as I looked around, recognizing the room—the room that once belonged to me and Alpha Rennon.

"What the hell is happening..." I whispered, my voice trembling as I sat up, my hands gripping the sheets. "Didn't I die just now?"

The door creaked open, and my breath caught in my throat. There he was—Alpha Rennon, just as I remembered him, his strong form filling the doorway. But he wasn't alone. Behind him stood Paige, looking timid and shy, nothing like the monster who had driven me to the edge of that cliff.

"Senna," Alpha Rennon said, his voice heavy with an emotion I couldn't place. "I'm sorry... I found my fated mate. She was a slave omega in her pack, and I must accept her and help her."

His words echoed in my mind, the weight of them crushing me. No. No, по, по.... This was the day it all began—the day Alpha Rennon brought Paige into our lives, the day everything started to fall apart.

My hands shook as I pinched myself, the pain sharp and real. I wasn't dreaming. This wasn't some cruel illusion. It was real.

I have been reborn.

Chapter 2

SENNA'S POV

The room was heavy with tension, the air thick with an intensity that hovered between us. I stood there, taking in the sight of Rennon and Paige, feeling the memories of the past flood my mind. But this time, the hurt didn’t consume me. I had already lived through that pain, and I refused to let it control me now.

Before, I was hysterical. I was livid at just the thought of another woman being with my Alpha, but I knew better now.

I drew a slow, deliberate breath, forcing my racing heart to calm. My emotions were a wild storm inside me, but I knew I couldn’t afford to lose control. Not again. The last time I let my anger and despair rule me, it had only driven Rennon further into Paige’s arms. This time, I would play it differently.

Rennon watched me with those familiar eyes, the same eyes that had once looked at me with love. But now, they held a mixture of guilt and resolve, as if he was steeling himself for my reaction. I could see he was waiting for the outburst, the tears, the accusations. I almost laughed at how predictable he was.

But I had changed. I had seen the end of this path and was no longer the same naive woman who had begged and pleaded for his affection. Alpha Rennon didn't deserve it, and frankly, he didn't deserve me. He and Paige were perfect for each other—two deceitful souls bound by their lies. But now wasn't the time to reveal my hand. No, I had something more important to focus on. My original pack, the South River Pack, was my true inheritance, and I had to get it back.

The memory of my parents weighed heavily on me. They had entrusted me with their legacy, asking me to care for the South River Pack and protect my sister, Emery. A bitter pang of guilt twisted in my heart as I thought of Emery—my sweet, loyal sister who had stood by my side when everything fell apart. She had been my shield against Paige’s messy plans, and she had paid the ultimate price for it. Paige had laid the trap, but I had led my sister right into it. Emery had died because of me.

The ache in my chest was almost unbearable, but I forced it down, replacing it with cold determination. I would not let Paige destroy us again. This time, I would protect Emery, and I would reclaim my pack. The South River Pack was rightfully mine, and I would take it back from Rennon's clutches, even if it meant playing this twisted game.

I softened my expression, schooling my features into something gentler. If it was innocence and naivety they wanted, then I would give it to them. I would be the perfect Luna, the picture of grace and acceptance. But beneath that facade, I would be planning and strategizing every move. They wouldn’t see it coming.

Rennon finally broke the silence, his voice careful, almost hesitant. "Senna, I know this is difficult for you. I never wanted to hurt you, but you understand… Paige is my fated mate. I have to accept her. It’s the law of the Moon Goddess."

There it was, that same tired excuse. The law of the Moon Goddess. As if that justified the betrayal as if it erased the vows he had made to me when he chose me as his Luna. But I didn’t let the bitterness show. Instead, I offered him a small, understanding smile, tilting my head as if considering his words carefully.

"Why would I mind?" I said softly, my voice sweet and light. "I'm truly happy for you, Alpha. You’ve found your fated mate. Now you have one more person to take care of you. Paige has had such a tragic past… I’ll do everything I can to make sure she feels welcome and cared for here."

I almost laughed at the look of surprise that flickered across Rennon’s face, quickly followed by confusion. This wasn’t the reaction he had expected, and it threw him off balance. Even Paige, who had been standing meekly by his side, couldn’t hide her shock. Her eyes widened, and I could see the doubt beginning to form in her mind.

Good. Let her wonder. Let her question whether I was truly as forgiving and gracious as I seemed. She would find out soon enough.

Paige, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up, her voice laced with false humility. "Thank you, Luna Senna. I… I promise I’ll do my best to serve this pack and to support Alpha Rennon."

I turned to her, my eyes meeting hers, and I could see the nervousness behind her facade. "Of course, Paige. I’ll make sure you’re well taken care of. After all, it’s my duty as Luna."

I excused myself from the room, my steps measured and calm as I walked away. But as soon as I was out of sight, my expression shifted, the mask of kindness and grace slipping away, replaced by a cold demeanor.

I would take care of Paige, all right. I would take perfect care of her.

Chapter 3

SENNA’S POV

The silence in my room was suffocating, pressing in on me from all sides.

Just as I was planning everything in my head, a soft knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts. My heart clenched involuntarily, assuming it was Rennon coming to soothe his guilt with more empty words. I felt a surge of irritation at the mere thought of him. I wasn’t in the mood to play the dutiful Luna anymore, especially not with that lying snake standing beside him. But I knew I had to maintain my facade, at least for now.

Taking a deep breath, I straightened my shoulders and walked to the door, schooling my features into something resembling calm. I reached for the handle, already preparing my polite, detached response to whatever excuse Rennon had conjured up this time. But as I swung the door open, my breath caught in my throat.

“Emery?” The name left my lips in a whisper, as if speaking it too loudly might shatter the fragile moment.

Before I could stop myself, I threw my arms around her, pulling her into a tight embrace. The tears I had been holding back for what felt like an eternity finally broke free, and I clung to her as if she might vanish into thin air.

“Sister?” Emery’s voice was laced with confusion, but she didn’t pull away. She wrapped her arms around me, her warmth a comfort I hadn’t realized I was craving. “What’s wrong? I heard… I heard Alpha Rennon brought someone home, but I didn’t expect you to be this upset.”

Her words were like a knife twisting in my heart, but not for the reason she thought. She was here, alive and breathing, and that was all that mattered to me at that moment. The memory of her cold, lifeless body flashed through my mind, and I tightened my grip on her, as if holding her tighter could prevent that future from ever happening again.

“I… I’m just so glad you’re here,” I managed to choke out between sobs, the relief washing over me in waves. She was here, alive, and I had been given a second chance to save her. I didn’t know why or how, but the Moon Goddess had granted me this opportunity, and I would not waste it.

“Sister,” Emery’s voice was soft and soothing as she stroked my hair gently. “It’s okay. I’m here for you. Do you want me to talk to Alpha Rennon? How dare he bring someone home!”

If only she knew how much those words meant to me. I pulled back slightly, wiping my tears and trying to regain some semblance of composure. I couldn’t let her see the full extent of my despair, not when I had so much to tell her. She needed to understand what was coming, and I had to be strong for both of us.

“I’m sorry,” I murmured, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach my eyes.

Emery looked at me skeptically, her brow furrowing. “You don’t have to pretend with me. You can talk to me about anything, you know that.”

I nodded, taking a deep breath. “I know, Emery. And there’s something I need to tell you. Something important.”

Her expression shifted to one of concern, and she led me to the bed, sitting down beside me. “What is it? What’s going on?”

I looked into her eyes, the words tumbling from my mouth before I could stop them. “Emery, I’ve been given another chance. I don’t know how to explain it, but… I’ve been reborn. I remember everything that’s going to happen, and I’m going to stop it.”

Her eyes widened in shock, but she didn’t pull away or question my sanity. Instead, she reached out and took my hand, her grip firm and reassuring. “Tell me everything.”

And I did. I told her about the betrayal that was yet to come, about Rennon’s choice to abandon me for Paige, and about the horrors that awaited us if we didn’t act. I left out the part about her death—she didn’t need to know that. But I made it clear that we were in danger, and that Paige was not the innocent girl she pretended to be.

When I finished, Emery was silent for a long moment, processing everything I had said. I could see the conflict in her eyes—the struggle to reconcile the sister she knew with the one sitting before her, telling her of a future that hadn’t yet happened.

Finally, she squeezed my hand and nodded. “I believe you. I don’t know how or why, but I believe you.”

Her unwavering faith in me brought fresh tears to my eyes, but this time, I didn’t let them fall. I had cried enough.

“Thank you, Emery,” I whispered, pulling her into another hug. “I promise I won’t let anything happen to you.”

After a while, Emery pulled back, giving me a small smile. “We’re in this together. But for now, you need to rest. You’ve been through a lot.”

I nodded, knowing she was right. But as she left the room, I felt a weight lift from my shoulders.

Chapter 4

The hot spring in the forest had always been my sanctuary, a place where I could escape the world and find peace. It was secluded, known only to a few, and I hadn’t visited it in years.

I slipped out of my room, making my way through the darkened corridors of the Ironheart estate. The night air was cool against my skin as I stepped outside, the scent of pine and earth filling my senses. I moved quickly through the forest, my feet carrying me on a path I knew by heart.

When I finally reached the hot spring, the sight of the steam rising from the water brought a small smile to my lips. It was just as I remembered—quiet, serene, untouched by the chaos of the world. This was exactly what I needed.

I undressed slowly, feeling the weight of the past few days lift from my shoulders as I let my clothes fall to the ground. The water was warm as I slipped in, enveloping me in its soothing embrace.

But the peace didn’t last long. A rustling noise broke through the quiet, pulling me from my reverie. My eyes snapped open, my senses suddenly on high alert. I scanned the surrounding trees, searching for the source of the noise, but saw nothing.

“Who’s there?” I called out, my voice firm despite the fear creeping up my spine. There was no response, only the sound of the forest around me.

I cursed under my breath, realizing how vulnerable I was. Ever since I had returned to the past, I hadn’t been able to connect with my wolf, Naiah. It was as if she had vanished, leaving me without my powers, without the heightened senses that had once been second nature to me.

Whoever—or whatever—was out there, I couldn’t let them see me like this, defenseless and exposed.

But as I stayed there, my gaze darting around the trees, I realized something else. I hadn’t just lost Naiah. I had lost a part of myself. My senses were dulled, my connection to the world around me weakened. And without my wolf, I was powerless.

I hurriedly dressed, the damp fabric clinging to my skin as I hastily pulled my clothes over my still-wet body. The eerie feeling from earlier lingered, prickling at the back of my mind. Every muscle in my body remained tense as I carefully scanned the area one last time, ensuring there were no lurking shadows.

The minute I was back within the safe confines of the pack, I knew I needed a plan. The reality of my situation hit me harder than ever. This time, I couldn’t rely solely on my strength or intuition. I had to outmaneuver Paige, protect my sister Emery, and ultimately, secure my future. The stakes were higher than they had ever been, and the only way to tip the scales in my favor was to find powerful allies.

One name immediately came to mind: Alpha King Shiloh Callahan. He was the most formidable ruler in the realm, commanding respect and fear in equal measure. His influence was unmatched, and if I could earn his support, my path to reclaiming my pack and breaking free from Rennon would be significantly smoother.

I remembered a key moment from the past—an event that I had nearly forgotten. During a banquet, I saved the life of Beta Valentin’s mate. Beta Valentin served Alpha King Shiloh. If I played my cards right, I could leverage that moment to my advantage.

Without hesitation, I pulled out my phone and dialed Beta Valentin’s number. The call was brief, with me explaining my situation and request for a direct conversation with the Alpha King. Beta Valentin, ever loyal, promised to arrange the call. I hung up, feeling a sliver of hope. However, that hope was short-lived.

When the call finally connected, the Alpha King’s voice was cold, each word dripping with condescension. “Luna of Ironheart Pack,” he began, his tone formal and distant, “I hear you wish to discuss a matter of importance.”

“Yes, Your Majesty,” I responded, keeping my voice steady despite the unease curling in my gut. “I need your support. I’m seeking a divorce from Alpha Rennon and need to reclaim my birthright—my pack.”

A low, humorless chuckle rumbled through the phone. “This is your business, Luna. It has nothing to do with me.”
