The Pregnancy That Ruined My Luna CeremonyChapter 1 Shadows of betrayal

Willow POV

The night before my Luna ceremony, everything changed. It was supposed to be the eve of a joyous occasion, a union that would bind me to Alpha Noah, my fated mate, and make me the Luna of the pack. But fate had other plans.

A notification buzzed on my phone as I was going over the final details for tomorrow’s ceremony. I glanced at the screen and saw a message from an unknown number.

Curiously, I opened the message. What I saw froze the blood in my veins—a screenshot of Sabrina, standing in front of Noah, holding up a baby scan. His face was filled with joy and pride. My hands trembled as I scrolled to the next image, where he was embracing her, his expression filled with a happiness he had never shown me.

The truth glared at me. Sabrina was pregnant. And judging by Noah’s reaction, he was the father of the baby not just that, he had a sash across his shoulder that read ‘Super dad’.

My mind raced, the room spinning as the reality of what just happened hit me. Tomorrow, I was supposed to become Luna, but now... how could I stand before the pack, knowing that Noah had already staked his claim on another? How could I bind myself to a man who had betrayed me so completely?

With shaking hands, I dialed Noah’s number, needing to hear his voice, to confirm what I already knew deep in my bones. But even as the phone rang, I knew that nothing he could say would fix this.

The call connected, but instead of his usual warm greeting, Noah’s voice was cold, detached.

"Willow, what’s going on? Tomorrow is your Luna ceremony, why are you calling me this late?"

I could hear voices in the background, and then the unmistakable sound of Sabrina laughing. The sound pierced through my heart causing pain. Memories of the pictures I had just seen flitted into my mind.

My voice was steady,  but I was boiling with anger inside. "Noah, do you have something you need to tell me?"

There was a pause, and then his tone hardened. "Willow, I’m busy. Can this wait?"

"Busy with what? Celebrating Sabrina’s pregnancy?" The words tasted bitter as I spat them out.

Silence. For a split second, I thought the call had dropped. But then I heard the sharp inhale of breath on the other end, followed by his response—cold, calculating.

"Where did you hear that?" His voice was low, a dangerous edge creeping in.

"Does it matter? I saw the pictures, Noah. You’ve been keeping this from me, haven’t you?"

The silence returned,  he didn’t say anything. And then, from the background, I heard Sabrina’s voice, a soft, innocent tone that made my blood boil. "C’mon Noah, we need to take more pictures with the baby's scan.”

Noah's next words were cruel. "Willow, don’t do this. Not now. We have the ceremony tomorrow. Just—"

"There won’t be a ceremony," I cut him off, my voice icy. "I reject you, Noah. I reject you as my mate and as my Alpha."

I hung up, my heart pounding, this was the end. I wasn’t going to stand by and let him manipulate me, not anymore. He could have his mistress and their unborn child. I wouldn’t be the Luna in a pack built on lies.

***

I moved quickly, throwing my belongings into a suitcase. I didn’t need to stay and wait for his excuses or his anger. I was done. But before I could make it out the door, the sound of tyres screeching in front of the Packhouse echoed through the night.

I glanced out the window and saw Noah’s car pull up, Sabrina seated smugly beside him. A fresh wave of disgust washed over me as I watched them. He wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore.

Steeling myself, I stepped outside, suitcase in hand.

Noah’s gaze met mine the moment I appeared. There was no warmth in his gaze, only the cold, calculating look of an Alpha used to getting his way. He stepped out of the car, leaving Sabrina seated inside. For once, she looked nervous, her hands wringing in her lap as she watched us.

"Willow, what the hell is this?" Noah’s voice was a low growl, filled with frustration. "Tomorrow is your Luna ceremony. You can’t just walk away now."

I met his gaze coldly. "I know about the baby, Noah. Sabrina’s pregnancy." I motioned toward the car, where Sabrina’s eyes darted between us, wide with shock.

Noah stiffened, "It’s not what you think," he started, but I cut him off.

"Then what is it? Tell me how it’s any different from the truth I’ve already seen with my own eyes!" My voice rose, "You’ve chosen her. So why should I stand by and be your Luna?"

"Willow, this isn’t what you think," he repeated, more forcefully this time. "Sabrina is part of the pack. She—"

"I don’t care what role she plays in your life," I interrupted again, my voice hardening. "She’s pregnant, Noah. That’s not something you can explain away with your authority or pack duty."

Noah’s expression turned steely, his voice dropping to a dangerous tone. "Willow, you’re making a mistake. You’re my mate. This is bigger than both of us. The pack needs a Luna, and that’s you."

I shook my head, "Not anymore. You made your choice, and I’m making mine."

Without waiting for his response, I walked away, leaving him and his lies behind.

As I strode down the path, the cool night air hit my face, sharp and refreshing, like a clean break from the life I had once known. The moon’s glow lit my way, a silent reminder that no matter what, I would find my strength—alone if I had to.

Behind me, Noah’s voice carried through the night, desperate and angry. "Willow! Think about what you’re doing!"

But I didn’t look back. Not this time.

Chapter 2 The Saviour of Silver Moon Pack

Willow POV

Three years ago, I met Noah for the first time at the annual Werewolf Gala. The event was an opportunity where Alphas and their families gathered to celebrate alliances and discuss other matters. As the daughter of the Silver Moon Pack’s Alpha, I attended with my parents.

My parents were well-respected, and though our pack wasn’t the largest or most powerful, we had long-standing alliances and a strong reputation.

I was standing by the grand fireplace, sipping a glass of champagne, when a figure moved toward me with purpose. His presence was commanding, radiating power that made others instinctively step aside. Noah.

He was the Alpha of the Blackstone Pack, renowned for their strength in battle and their shrewdness in politics. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and handsome. Not just that, I heard he was the most eligible Alpha in the region and almost everyone wanted a business or marriage alliance with him. But we had never crossed paths—until that night.

“Alpha Noah, meet my daughter, Willow,” my father said proudly, his arm around me. “She’s the future of our pack.”

Noah’s gaze shifted to me, “Willow,” he said smoothly, his deep voice sending a shiver down my spine. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

I nodded, unsure of how to respond. “And I’ve heard about you, Alpha Noah.”

He smirked a glint of amusement in his eyes. “I hope it’s all good.”

My mother chimed in, her tone light but pointed. “Oh, mostly stories of your exploits in battle and your skill at forging alliances.”

Noah chuckled. “Your mother flatters me, but I prefer to let my actions speak.”

The rest of the evening passed but Noah’s presence lingered in my mind long after the gala ended. Something about him intrigued me, though I didn’t fully understand it at the time. He was unlike anyone I had ever met—confident and powerful.

A few months later, tragedy struck.

My parents were killed in a rogue ambush while travelling between territories. Their sudden death left our pack in disarray. I was thrust into a leadership role that I wasn’t prepared for, while still grieving.

It was during that dark time that Noah came back into my life.

Three months after my parents' funeral, I sat alone in the pack house surrounded by memories of happier times. Crying, not knowing how I would lead our pack or protect them.

The door opened quietly, and I looked up to see Noah standing there. He didn’t say anything at first, just walked over to where I was sitting and placed a hand on my shoulder. His touch was comforting.

"I heard about your parents." His tone softened slightly. "I’m sorry for your loss."

I forced back the tears that sprung to my eyes and forced a polite smile, though it didn’t reach my eyes. "Thank you."

"I imagine things have been… difficult," he said, his eyes never leaving mine.

Difficult was an understatement. After my parents' deaths, our pack had fallen into chaos. Rogues had seen the loss of our leadership as an opportunity to try and take over. With our warriors thinned and our resources drained, we had barely managed to hold them off.

"That’s one way to put it," I muttered, not wanting to get into the details with a stranger.

But Noah wasn’t deterred. His gaze hardened, and he took a step closer, his voice low. "Rogues have been pushing into your territory, haven’t they?"

I froze, my grip tightening around my glass. "How do you know that?"

"My warriors have been keeping an eye on your borders," he replied. "I’ve seen what’s been happening. Your pack isn’t strong enough to defend itself."

I bristled at his bluntness, but he wasn’t wrong. The pack had been on the verge of collapse. "What do you want, Noah?"

He didn’t flinch at the sharpness in my tone. "I want to help."

I stared at him, trying to gauge his intentions. Alphas didn’t offer help without expecting something in return. "Help? Why?"

He smirked, as though amused by my suspicion. "Because your pack deserves a future, and you need someone to stand with you. Let me lend you my warriors. Let me help you rebuild."

It was a bold offer—one that I hadn’t expected. My pride screamed at me to refuse, but I truly needed his help and If I didn’t accept help soon, there might not be a Silver Moon Pack left to protect.

"And what do you want in return?" I asked.

His smirk faded, and his gaze softened. "Nothing but your trust. I’m offering this because I see strength in you, Willow. You have the potential to lead your pack back to greatness, but not if the rogues overrun you first."

A few weeks later, Noah’s warriors had driven the rogues from our borders. Silver Moon Pack was safe for the first time since my parents passed.

Noah didn’t stop there. He used his connections to help secure trade deals and financial support that I never would have been able to arrange on my own. With his help, we rebuilt. Slowly, but surely, my pack began to recover.

One night, after a long day of meetings, I received an invite from Noah to his pack to eat dinner with him.

After we were done eating, he reached out and took my hand, his touch warm and reassuring.

"You’re stronger than you think, you know that?" he said, his voice gentle but firm.

I glanced away, not sure how to respond. "I don’t always feel that way."

He leaned forward, his expression serious. "You’ve been through hell, Willow, losing your parents, fighting to keep your pack together—you could have given up, but you didn’t. That takes real strength."

His words made my chest tighten.

"Noah…" I started, but the words got caught in my throat.

"I meant what I said that other night. I’m not just here to help your pack. I want to be by your side, Willow."

“I love you, Willow… so much. Will you marry me?”

The sincerity in his voice was overwhelming. He had been there for me when I had no one else. He had fought for my pack, for my future. And somewhere along the way, he had fought his way into my heart.

I accepted his proposal without hesitation.

Chapter 3 Bonds of fate

Willow POV

After he proposed to me, our relationship became stronger.

I left Silver Moon pack in the care of the pack elders and joined Noah at his pack.

Throughout our relationship, I stood by Noah through thick and thin, even as Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack. I supported him through countless crises, helped him fend off threats from rival packs, and aided in securing important alliances. My sacrifices were many, but they felt like natural steps in our journey. I was his Luna-in-waiting, after all.

Everything was going smoothly until one day, his childhood friend sent him a message.

“Noah, please, I need your help.”

Sabrina had been Noah’s childhood friend, and their bond was something that everyone knew. Their families had been close, and as children, they had grown up together, inseparable. There were even rumours that they were once fated to be mates. Noah had been in love with her for years, and after high school, he had followed her abroad in an attempt to win her heart.

But Sabrina, for reasons unknown to most, had rejected him. Heartbroken, Noah returned to the Blackstone Pack and buried himself in his duties, taking over as Alpha and growing the pack into the powerful force it was today. Sabrina, however, had remained a part of his life—distant, but never entirely gone.

When she returned from abroad, everything changed.

Noah was excited when she came back. He went to the airport to greet her in the early hours of the morning, something I knew was more than just a friendly gesture. She had always been special to him, and despite everything we had been through together, I could feel her presence creating a distance between us.

At first, I tried to push the feelings aside. Sabrina had never shown any interest in Noah romantically, and he had assured me that their relationship was purely platonic. But I couldn’t ignore the way his eyes lingered on her when he thought I wasn’t looking, or how he seemed to prioritize her needs above everything else.

One night, after a particularly tense dinner where Sabrina had joined us, I confronted Noah.

“Do you still love her?” I asked bluntly, my heart pounding in my chest.

Noah looked at me, startled by the question. “Willow, no. It’s not like that anymore.”

“Then why do you always drop everything for her?” I pressed, my voice trembling. “I’m here, standing by your side, and yet it feels like I’m always second to her.”

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Sabrina and I have history, but that’s all it is—history. You’re the one I’m with now. I chose you.”

But he began to spend more time with Sabrina. He would cancel important pack meetings, asking me to go on his behalf just to go on a date with Sabrina at the amusement pack. Once, I confronted him and he grew angry.

“Why are you so selfish, Willow?” he lashed out “Do you know what Sabrina has been through? She was in an abusive relationship and fell into depression. She barely managed to overcome it and now that she’s back, she needs all the help from her friends that she can get.”

“I know that, Noah!” I cried, trying not to lose my temper “But she has other friends, right? You’re in a relationship, Noah, no matter how much you love her as a friend, you cannot ignore me all week, or let me take care of countless pack meetings alone. Which you have been doing these days.”

“Haven’t I done enough for you, Willow?” he spat “Who saved your pack when it was crumbling? Who has been there for you all these years? You’re suffocating me, I need to breathe. We’re in a relationship but we should lead our own life and I can’t abandon my friend just because we’re together…”

“Noah, but…” I trailed off, my eyes widening with shock.

“I love you, Willow and you’re going to be my Mate, my Luna but Sabrina needs me more. You have everything. You have a mate who loves and cares for you, you are living your dream life. But Sabrina is trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Please understand this and be sympathetic.”

I felt ashamed of myself after what he told me. Perhaps, he was right. After all, I had everything I could ever dream of and Sabrina needed care more. So, I allowed them and concentrated on taking care of our packs.

But as time went on, Noah began to distance himself. His excuses to always be with Sabrina grew more. He started making decisions without consulting me and I was almost going to assume the worst when he told me that it was time we get joined officially and become one.

And then, the night of the photo came.

It was the eve of my Luna Ceremony when a mysterious screenshot appeared on my phone. Sabrina was showing Noah what appeared to be a baby scan. His expression in the photo was one of joy—celebration, even. My heart sank as I stared at the image, the reality of it crashing down on me.

Sabrina was pregnant and Noah was the father.
