After I left, my two childhood sweethearts went crazy looking for meChapter 1

Mrs. Jill brought me home over ten years ago, but her two sons still didn't like me.

Until they found a love letter to the eldest son in my room.

The second son laughed so hard that he couldn't straighten his back. “Noah, have you committed some kind of sin to attract the attention of such a repulsive girl?"

Noah, who was always humble, looked annoyed. "Don't say such disgusting things."

Seeing that I was old enough to get married, Mrs. Jill took my hand and asked. “Gyna, do you like either of my sons?”

The two brothers looked at me as if they were facing a great enemy.

I lowered my head silently and replied, “Mrs. Jill ... I like someone else."

At that moment, I could tell the displeasure in Noah’s voice. "Who is it?"

When I woke up in the hotel, the first thing I saw was his angry face. "Why are you here? Where's Megan?"

The second son, Yale, was already awake, watching the scene with amusement.

Megan was Noah's secretary.

Maybe he and Yale were in a good mood last night and decided to bring me along for some "life experience."

During the event, Megan suddenly disappeared and I ended up being the one drinking on behalf of the two brothers.

I drank so much that I ended up slumped over the table. In a daze, I vaguely remember someone saying they would take us somewhere to rest.

When I opened my eyes again, it was just the three of us in the hotel room.

Yale hadn’t drunk much. He fell asleep when he got tired, so he remembered everything clearly from the night before.

Noah felt a bit dazed for a moment and the memories of last night slowly came back to him.

He no longer waited for my answer and made a call to Megan. “Where are you?”

On the other end, the woman's voice was a bit sleepy, filled with complaints. “Mr. Jill, I don’t know who locked me in the bathroom last night. The hotel staff just started their shift and I haven’t been let out yet. It’s so cold at night and the window hasn’t been closed all night. I’ve caught a cold.”

Noah frowned slightly. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? So dumb.”

Although it was a scolding, it was hard not to hear the concern in his tone.

“I’ll call the hotel staff right away; there should be surveillance footage at the bathroom door. This matter will not be settled just like that!”

Megan sneezed and said in a sticky voice, “Mr. Jill, you’re the best.”

After saying that, she exaggeratedly blew a kiss to the phone, making a sound.

The hotel staff acted quickly and it wasn’t long before the footage from the entrance was sent over.

The surveillance footage showed that Megan and I entered one after the other.

However, after I came out, Megan never reappeared from that door.

Noah’s group chat was already blowing up on his phone, with his friends teasing him as usual.

[Three people? That’s too exciting; you wouldn’t expect it normally.]

[No wonder the Jill Family has kept an outsider for over a decade; now I get it.]

[When you get bored, can you send me to try it out?]

After seeing this, Yale replied in the chat. [Get lost, what nonsense are you thinking? That’s our sister.]

Laughter erupted in the chat.

[Do you ever speak the truth?]

[What kind of sister? A romantic sister?]

Noah put down his phone and coldly stared at me.

He and Yale looked about seventy to eighty percent alike, but their personalities were completely different.

Noah didn’t show much emotion on his face, but after spending over a decade with him, I knew that this expression meant he was actually angry.

Noah straightened his clothes and before leaving, he glanced back at me. “Gyna, as a person, you at least need to have some shame.”

After my parents divorced, I followed my mom.

Chapter 2

My mom started a new family and had a new daughter, which made her even more annoyed with me.

Mrs. Jill, who knew my mom, watched all of this unfold. She was kind-hearted and couldn’t stand to see me suffer.

“I love daughters the most, but unfortunately, there are only two little boys in my family. Gyna, come live with me. From now on, my home will be your home.”

When I was younger, I had a head injury, so I wasn’t very smart. I stared blankly at Mrs. Jill, my eyes feeling a bit warm and teary.

She really liked me. But the twins in their family didn’t particularly like me.

The eldest son Noah was cold and distant with people, while the second son Yale seemed optimistic and cheerful. But he would deliberately or unintentionally ignore me in whatever he did.

Although it was a bit unpleasant, life was still bearable.

What completely shattered this peace was a love letter.

The brothers' long-suppressed dislike towards me burst out at that moment without any more hiding.

Yale laughed heartily. “Noah, have you committed some kind of sin to attract the attention of such a repulsive girl?"

Noah looked at me with a complicated expression and then turned to Yale, saying, “Don’t say such disgusting things.”

That love letter was something I was delivering on someone else's behalf.

“This is from Megan; she asked me to help give it to Noah.”

Megan was my mom's daughter with her new husband and she was also my sister. We are in the same school but in different classes.

Noah had good grades and was handsome, so many girls at school like him.

They all asked me to help deliver love letters, but I refused them all. I only agreed to help Megan. After all, she was my sister.

However, after I said that, Noah threw the love letter in my face, gripping my chin and forcing me to look at the last line.

“After doing this, you don’t dare to admit it and want to pass the blame to someone else? Gyna, is this your upbringing?”

The signature at the bottom was not Megan's, but mine: Gyna.

“Noah, I will love you for the rest of my life; I and you will be together forever.”

I was stunned.

I went to confront Megan.

In front of Noah and Yale, Megan wore a look of confusion. “It’s the most important stage of senior year. I just want to focus on studying. Gyna, if you’re not studying, don’t drag me down.”

Noah tore the love letter into pieces and threw it at my face. “Disgusting.”

At that moment, the fragile peace I had managed to maintain shattered completely.

After they left, I saw Megan, who had looked confused earlier, suddenly smile.

“You’re not welcomed anywhere, Gyna. If I lived like you, I might as well just die.”

In that moment, I suddenly understood.

"Are you doing this on purpose?"

Megan didn't respond and turned to walk away.

That day, after school, Noah deliberately made the driver not wait for me. I carried my backpack alone, tears brimming in my eyes as I headed home.

I had always felt like an outsider, but in front of those two brothers, I felt even lower.

In Noah's eyes, I was a disgusting worm.

In Yale's eyes, I was a plaything who had debased myself.

Yale tidied himself up and followed Noah out. Just before leaving, he winked at me.

"Gyna, if you're really curious, I wouldn't mind keeping you company tonight. I'm not as rigid as Noah. I know a lot more. Do you want to give it a try?"

"Try what?"

Before I could even ask, Noah suddenly reached out and yanked Yale out.

Chapter 3

"Get out!"

Then, the door in front of me slammed shut with a loud bang, shaking the walls.

I silently wiped away the tears on my face and sat on the edge of the bed, holding my stomach as I took a while to recover.

I have a stomach condition and I drank a lot last night.

This morning, I was awakened by the pain.

I went to the hospital and after the examination, the doctor told me I had some gastric bleeding, but it wasn't serious and I didn't need to be hospitalized. I just needed to be more careful with my daily routine from now on.

It was raining outside. The doctor glanced out the window and reminded me, “You’re dressed too lightly. Have someone from home come to pick you up.”

I nodded and after going downstairs, I called Noah.

“Noah, can you come to the hospital and take me home?”

Upon hearing this, Noah let out a cold laugh, his tone dripping with mockery. “What are you doing at the hospital, Gyna? Are you trying to feign sympathy for me?”

“Because of your so-called good deed, Megan has a high fever that won’t go down. I’m busy right now, so if you have any dignity, you’ll come back by yourself. If you can’t make it back, just go to the morgue instead.”

After saying that, Noah hung up the phone.

I stared at my phone for a long time, unable to come to my senses.

Megan had been in the bathroom all night and the cold air had made her run a high fever. But why did he say it was my good deed?

I couldn't understand and I felt a bit aggrieved.

I held back my tears and called Yale.

The phone rang for quite a while before it connected, but it was a woman’s voice on the other end.

“Yale hasn’t reached out to you, so could you please stop bothering him?”

As I scrolled through my contacts, I came across the entry labeled "Dad."

I couldn't quite remember whose contact that was. Was it Mr. Jill?

Mr. Jill and Mrs. Jill were away on a trip and they probably wouldn’t be back for at least ten days to half a month.

I dialed Mr. Jill's number. He could notify the family driver to come and pick me up.

“Mr. Jill, it’s pouring rain outside. Could you ask the driver to come to the hospital and take me home?”

There was a long silence on the other end before he finally responded with a hesitant “Mm. Which hospital are you at?”

I noticed that the voice sounded a bit different.

The place where Mr. Jill was traveling seemed really nice; even his voice sounded younger.

I told him the name of the hospital and he hung up the phone.

As I scrolled further down my contacts, I found another entry labeled "Mr. Jill."

Did he have two numbers?

I was stunned for a moment before suddenly recalling who the contact labeled "Dad" belonged to.

A black car stopped in front of me.

I looked up to see a Porsche at the hospital entrance.

The window rolled down, revealing a face that had a bit of a rogue charm.

"Come on, Mr. Jill is here to take you home."

After getting into the car, I angrily changed the contact name in my phone to Miles Newton.

Chapter 4

Miles observed everything but only smiled.

The Newton family had close ties with the Jill Family, yet Miles never got along with the two Jill brothers.

Although I was just raised by Mrs. Jill, I couldn't escape the consequences.

Not long ago, I was kidnapped by Miles. He used me to threaten Noah.

“Get down on your knees and bow three times and I’ll let you go.”

When Noah heard I was kidnapped, his tone didn’t show any emotion.

“After you collect the ransom, remember to bury her far away.” After saying this, he blocked Miles.

I stared at Miles for two days and no one from the Jill Family came to help me.

In those two days, I ate two roasted chickens and five pig's trotters, thinking that if I were to die, I might as well die full.

Miles clicked his tongue. “Well, after raising you for over ten years, even a dog would have some reaction.”

After I finished eating, I looked at him nervously. “Um…can I just be euthanized?” I heard that it wouldn’t hurt.

Miles took my phone, played around with it for a bit and then gave it back to me with his contact information saved.

He even changed his name in my contacts to “Dad.”

Since I was Noah and Yale's sister, this arrangement sort of allowed me to benefit from them.

“From now on, when you’re around Noah and Yale, you have to call me ‘Brother.’”

It was just out of a childish sense of revenge, as if this would make Yale and Noah feel uncomfortable.

I quietly sighed.

Forget about calling him brother.

Even if I called him Dad, they wouldn’t look at me properly, nor would they have any reaction.

Miles didn't kill me and even sent me home.

Just like now.

I felt a bit teary-eyed and, as I got out of the car, I sincerely complimented him, “Actually, you’re quite a nice person.”

I sniffed and asked him, “Do you want to come over to the Jill Family for a visit?”

While I was talking to Miles, he kept looking behind me, his gaze a bit frightening.

After a long while, he finally replied to me.

“No, someone doesn’t welcome me.”

I turned to look behind me and saw Yale. He seemed to have just returned and there was someone else in the car.

That woman was also staring at me.

I suddenly realized that this woman had very similar features to mine.

Before I could take a closer look, Yale had already gotten out of the car and said to the person inside, “You can go first; I’m not coming over tonight.”

The car window closed and the woman obediently drove away.

Yale had the same carefree smile on his face as always. “Wow, when did you and Miles become so close?”

Noah appeared out of nowhere. He glanced at me and, without waiting for a response, said to himself, “It’s raining outside; let’s talk inside.”

Megan was also standing at the door, dressed in soft and comfortable loungewear, which seemed to be my clothes.

Noah explained, “Megan had a high fever. When I was taking her home, I found out that her house had been broken into, so it’s not safe. She’ll stay here until we find her a new place.”

Megan linked her arm with mine, looking very intimate.

Noah’s gaze was cold and filled with pressure, making me uncomfortable whenever it fell on me. I asked, “Where does she live?”

Noah replied, “In your room. The guest rooms are on the shady side and a bit cold. Since Megan isn’t feeling well, it’s not suitable for her to stay over there.”

I felt like something was stuck in my throat, making it hard to swallow and it brought tears to my eyes."What about me?"

"You'll stay in the guest room."

I wanted to ask why, but before I could speak, Noah seemed already impatient. "You threw a tantrum last night and locked Megan in the bathroom for the whole night. Now you show no shame, neither apologizing nor making amends. Gyna, it’s already very kind of me not to kick you out."

I understood every single word, but when put together, I found it hard to comprehend. "I didn’t do any of that!"

Noah stared at me calmly. “Can your words be trusted?”

Those few words made my rebuttal feel powerless.

Just like the love letter from before, the situation with Megan felt the same.

After holding back my tears all day, I could no longer contain them.

I lowered my head, pulled my hand away from Megan’s and lifted my foot to go upstairs.

As I separated from Megan, a box fell to the floor with a clatter.

Megan picked it up. “Gyna, you dropped this.”

When Noah saw what it was, his expression turned completely dark.

Yale’s face stiffened for a moment. Although he was smiling, there was nothing friendly about his eyes.

What had fallen on the ground was a box of opened condoms.
